finishes the subject supplying four names only i.e. “Gaja-Graha”, “AŚwa-Śālā”, “Ratan-Graha" and the “Dhan-Bhandāra.” The link ahead is not possible from the work itself, but other unpublished sources including the Jaipur records preserved in the State Archives of Bikaner, throw further light on the subject, although in some cases they may cause modifications when the Archival papers have been carefully studied and properly assessed.
In the State Archives of Rajasthan at Bikaner, we have many bundles of documents giving all the details of the various Karkhanas namely, (1) Kirkari-Khana : (It dealt with the private treasury of the
Jaipur rulers. Later on it merged into the
Kapad-dwārā'.) (2) Butāyat
: Dealing with the maintenance of orderlies
and conveyance: (3) Kośa-Graha : (Part of the Kirkari-khana). (4) Tośā-Khana
(Store-room of ornaments, precious-stones, robes etc. of the rulers and their house-hold
members). (5) Zeen-Khana : (Department dealing with the saddlery of
horses, robes etc. of the rulers and their
house-hold members), (6) Ratan-Graha : (Store-room of precious stones, such as
pearls, rubies etc.) (7) Kothi-Hazuri : (Later on called as Modi-Khana). (8) Khazana
: (Royal treasures). (9) Feel-Khana : (Department dealing with the maintenance
of elephants of the State). (10) Top-Khana : Deptt. of arms and ammunition. (11) Baraat
: Deptt. for making arrangements for the Royal
processions. (12) Sileh-Khana
(Dealing with the maintenance of armoury, namely swords, shields, spears, barchi's,
kațāra's etc,). (13) Khusbū-Khana : (Preparation of the perfumeries for the use
of rulers and their family members). (14) Okhad-Khana : (Preparation and supply of medicines to the
rulers and their family members). (15) Gaoo-Khana : (Maintenance of cows and supply of milk). (16) Tambol-Khana : (Betles for the rulers and their household
members).
