They collect demerit Karmas, which shall lead them to hell or animal state of existence where they shall have to bear continuously pain of such a dreadful living. In other words due to the sin committed by: adattadan (thefts), one cannot avoid the Karmas so collected without undergoing deep pain and tortures of hell and animal state of existence continuously. They collect such dreadful Karmas in large quantity.
(Since they wander about in the forest concealing themselves) It is y difficult for them to get foodstuff such as rice and wheat to eat and good 9 water to drink. They remain sometimes thirsty, sometimes hungry, sometimes tired. Sometimes they have to eat raw flesh, a dead body, or y the vegetables grown underground; whatever is available there. They remain always in a bewildered condition. They always run away from one place to another. They do not get protection from any one. Thus they y remain in the forest where there is always the fear of hundreds of snakes (cobras, leopards, lions, tiger) and other creatures. In other words, due to $ the presence of such animals and beasts that kill for their food, they always remain disturbed.
७०. अयसकरा तक्करा भयंकरा कास हरामोत्ति अज्ज दव्वं इह सामत्थं करेंति गुज्झं। बहुयस्स जणस्स कज्जकरणेसु विग्धकरा मत्तपमत्तपसुत्त-वीसत्थ-छिद्दघाई वसणन्भुदएसु हरणबुद्धी विगव्व . रुहिरमहिया परेंति णरवइ-मज्जायमइक्कंता सजणजणदुर्गछिया सकम्मेहिं पावकम्मकारी असुभपरिणया य दुक्खभागी णिच्चाविलदुहमणिब्बुइमणा इहलोए चेव किलिस्संता परदव्बहरा णरा वसणसयसमावण्णा।
७०. वे अपने खानदान की बदनामी व अपकीर्ति का काम करने वाले और दूसरों के लिए भयक उत्पन्न करने वाले तस्कर चोरी करने से पहले परस्पर ऐसी गुप्त मंत्रणा करते रहते हैं कि आज किसका, धन चुरायें। वे बहुत से मनुष्यों के कामों में विघ्न डालते हैं। नशे में चूर हुए तस्कर बेसुध सोए हुए और ॥ विश्वास रखने वाले लोगों का अवसर देखकर घात कर देते हैं। दुर्व्यसनों, विपत्तियों और उत्सव आदि
खुशी के मौकों पर चोरी करने की बुद्धि वाले होते हैं। भेड़ियों की तरह अति क्रूर रुधिर-पिपासु होकर के इधर-उधर भटकते रहते हैं। वे राज्यशासन द्वारा बनाये हुए कानूनों का उल्लंघन करने वाले, सज्जन पुरुषों द्वारा निन्दा के पात्र एवं पापकर्म करने वाले (चोर) अपनी ही करतूतों के कारण अशुभ परिणाम
वाले और दुःख के भागी होते हैं। सदैव मलिन, दुःखक्रान्त अशान्तियुक्त चित्त वाले ये दूसरों का धन _ हरण करने वाले इसी जन्म में सैकड़ों कष्टों से घिरकर क्लेश पाते हैं।
