का विचार करके सत्य, तथ्य, प्रिय भाषण करें और आत्मा को पाप की कालिमा से लिप्त करने वाले वचनों का प्रयोग न करें।

परमभेयगं आदि पदों से सूचित किया है कि जो वचन परमार्थ के भेदक हैं-मुक्तिमार्ग के विरोधी हैं,
कपटपूर्वक बोले जाते हैं, जो निर्लज्जतापूर्ण हैं और लोक में गर्हित हैं- सामान्य जनों द्वारा भी निन्दित हैं, 5 सत्यवादी को ऐसे वचनों का भी प्रयोग नहीं करना चाहिए।

मूल पाठ में पावकम्ममूलं दुद्दिनं दुस्सुयं अमुणियं पद विशेष रूप से ध्यान देने योग्य हैं। इनका तात्पर्य यह है

कि जिस बात को, जिस घटना को हमने अच्छी तरह देखा न हो, जिसके विषय में प्रामाणिक पुरुष से सुना न
हो और जिसे सम्यक् प्रकार से जाना न हो, उसके विषय में अपना अभिमत प्रकट कर देना- अप्रमाणित को
प्रमाणित कर देना भी असत्य है । यह असत्य पाप का मूल है।
Elaboration-In this lesson, four types of falsehood have been
primarily discussed – (1) Falsehood regarding money, ( 2 ) Falsehood
(1) Arthaleek-False statement made in respect of money is called
Arthaleek. The word money here includes gold, silver, coins, change,
rubies, pearls, ornaments and the like.
(2) Bhoomyaleek-To make false statement in order to procure land
or to sell land, for instance to call barren land as fertile or to call fertile land as barren is called bhoomyaleek.
(3) Kanyaleek— To make false statement regarding a girl (in context
of matrimony). For instance, to call a beautiful girl as ugly and of bad character and to call a girl of bad character as beautiful.
(4) Gavaleek — To make false statement about cow, buffalo, bullock, horse and the like is gavaleek.
The above said four types of falsehood includes falsehood about all
things that have no feet and all that have two feet and four feet.
It is very difficult to have power of speech in this world. As a result of
very meritorious deeds, one gets the capability of speaking distinct language. The proper use of this capability is possible only when we properly discriminate between good and bad for our welfare and welfare of others and then speak what is true, factual and loveable. We should not use such words which darken our soul with sins.
