55555555555555555555555555555555555 म नरकगति में हिंसा के कुफलों का वर्णन करने के पश्चात् अगले सूत्र में तिर्यंच आदि गतियों के हिंसा के कटुफलरूप यातनाओं का वर्णन करते हैं।
Elaboration-In fact there are no wolves, cats, lions, tigers or other quadruped beasts in the hell but the demon gods with their fluid power 4 transform themselves into such shapes of wolves and the like. The author has given an eye-witness account of such merciless and ferocious
troubles and tortures. The purpose of this description is that human f beings should avoid bad deeds so that they may not have to suffer such tortures as a result thereof.
In the present aphorism, the words ukkosanta or uppayanta, nippayanta, bhamanta indicate that the hellish beings jump upwards. It is mentioned in the scriptures that a hellish being can jump only upto
the size of his body. For instance the maximum height of a hellish beings ॐ in the seventh hell is 500 dhanush (a measure), in sixth hell it is 250
dhanush and thus becoming half respectively in secondary hells, it is i
just 7 dhanush 3 haath and 6 finger-thickness in the first hell. $ In the succeeding aphorism, the evil consequences of violence faced in i
the hellish state of existence have been mentioned, the troubles faced in other states of existence such as animal state and others have been

३३. पुवकम्मोदयोवगया, पच्छाणुसएण उज्झमाणा जिंदंता पुरेकडाई कम्माइं पावगाइं तहिं तहिं तारिसाणि ओसण्णचिक्कणाई दुक्खाई अणुभवित्ता तओ य आउक्खएणं उव्वट्टिया समाणा बहवे गच्छंति है तिरियवसहि।
दक्खत्तरं सदारुणं जम्मण-मरण-जरा-वाहि-परियटणारहटटं जल-थल-खहयर-परोप्परविहिंसण-पवंचं इमं च जगपागडं वरागा दुक्खं पावेंति दीहकालं।
३३. पूर्वजन्म में उपार्जित पापकर्मों के अधीन हुए, पश्चात्ताप (की आग) से जलते हुए, अमुक-5 + अमुक स्थानों में, उस-उस प्रकार के पूर्वकृत कर्मों की निन्दा करते हुए, अत्यन्त चिकने-बहुत कठिनाई 5
से छूट सकने वाले-निकाचित दुःखों को भुगतकर, तत्पश्चात् नारकीय आयु का क्षय होने पर 卐 नरकभूमियों में से निकलकर बहुत-से जीव तिर्यंचयोनि में उत्पन्न होते हैं।
किन्तु उनकी वह तिर्यंचयोनि भी अतिशय दुःखों से परिपूर्ण होती है अथवा अत्यन्त कठिनाई से - पूरी की जाने वाली होती है, दारुण कष्टों वाली होती है, जन्म-मरण-जरा का अरहट उसमें घूमता म रहता है। उसमें जलचर, स्थलचर और खेचर जीवों के पारस्परिक घात-प्रत्याघात का प्रपंच या दुष्चक्र .
