31. (Q.) Bhante ! Now the same question about five-sensed animals (panchendriya tiryanchayonik jivas)?
(Ans.) Gautam ! They are jnani (endowed with right knowledge) as well as ajnani (ignorant or with wrong knowledge). Among those who are jnani some are with two jnanas and some with three. Thus generally speaking they are with different alternative combinations of three jnanas (kinds of right knowledge) and three ajnanas.
३२. मणुस्सा जहा जीवा तहेव पंच नाणाणि तिण्णि अण्णाणाणि य भयणाए।
३२. जिस प्रकार औधिक जीवों के विषय में कहा है, उसी प्रकार मनुष्यों में पाँच ज्ञान और तीन अज्ञान भजना से होते हैं।
32. Like the general statement for living beings, human beings have different alternative combinations of five jnanas and three ajnanas (kinds of wrong knowledge).
३३. वाणमंतरा जहा नेरइया। ३३. वाणव्यन्तर देवों का कथन नैरयिकों के समान जानना चाहिए।
33. Vanavyantar devs (interstitial gods) follow the pattern of infernal beings.
३४. जोतिसिय-वेमाणियाणं तिण्णि नाणा तिण्णि अन्नाणा नियमा। ३४. ज्योतिष्क और वैमानिक देवों में तीन ज्ञान अथवा तीन अज्ञान नियमतः होते हैं।
34. Jyotishk devs (Stellar gods) and Vaimanik Devs (Celestialvehicular gods) have either three jnanas (kinds of right knowledge) or fi three ajnanas as a rule.
३५. [प्र. ] सिद्धा णं भंते ! पुच्छा। [उ. ] गोयमा ! णाणी, नो अण्णाणी। नियमा एगनाणी-केवलनाणी।
३५. [प्र. ] भगवन् ! सिद्ध भगवान ज्ञानी हैं या अज्ञानी हैं ? ॐ [उ. ] गौतम ! सिद्ध भगवान ज्ञानी हैं, अज्ञानी नहीं हैं। वे नियमतः एक-केवलज्ञान वाले हैं।
35. (Q.) Bhante ! Now the same question about Siddhas (liberated 卐 souls)?
(Ans.) Gautam ! Siddhas are only jnanis and never ajnanis. As a rule ___they have only one jnana-Keval-jnana.
