... महापुराणे उत्तरपुराणम् विश्वान्वैषयिकान्भोगान् शश्वत्सम्प्राप्य निर्विशन् । तल्लोलो लीलया कालमला'वीकलयन्कलाम् ॥७३॥ षण्मासैरन्तिमैस्तस्मिनागमिष्यत्य महीम् । द्वीपेऽस्मिन् भरते काशीविषये नगरेऽधिपः ॥ ७४ ॥ वाराणस्यामभूद्विश्वसेनः काश्यपगोत्रजः । ब्राह्मथस्य देवी सम्प्राप्तवसुधारादिपूजना ॥ ७५॥ वैशाखकृष्णपक्षस्य द्वितीयायां निशात्यये । विशाखः शुभस्वमानिरीक्ष्य तदनन्तरम् ॥ ७६ ॥ स्ववक्त्राब्जप्रविष्टोरुगजरूपविलोकिनी । प्रभातपटहध्वानसमुन्मीलितलोचना ॥ ७ ॥ मङ्गलाभिषवाविष्टतुष्टि: पुण्यप्रसाधना। विभावरीव सज्ज्योत्स्ना राजानं समुपेत्य सा ॥ ७० ॥ कृतोपचारा संविश्य विष्टरार्धे महीपतेः । स्वदृष्टसकलस्वमान्यथाक्रममभाषत ॥ ७९ ॥ श्ररवा तान सावधिः सोऽपि फलान्येवं न्यवेदयत् । गजेन्द्रवीक्षणात्पुत्रो वृषभालोकनात्पतिः ॥ ८ ॥ त्रिविष्टपस्य सिंहेन दृष्टेनानन्तवीर्यकः । मन्दराभिषवप्राप्तिः पद्माभिपवदर्शनात् ॥८॥ दामद्वयावलोकेन धर्मद्वितयतीर्थकृत् । शशाङ्कमण्डलालोकात् त्रैलोक्यकुमुदप्रियः ॥ ८२ ॥ नेजस्वी भास्वतो मत्स्ययुगलेन सुखाविलः। निधीनामधिपः कुम्भवीक्षणात्सर्वलक्षणः ॥८३ ॥ सरसः सागरात्सर्वज्ञाता सिंहासनेक्षणात् । सर्वलोकैकसम्मान्यः स्वर्गादद्यावतीर्णवान् ॥ ८४ ॥ अवताराद्विमानस्य भवनात्पवनाशिनः । त्रिबोधदीधिती रत्नराशिनालिङ्गितोगुणः ॥ ८५॥ विधूमधूमकेतूपलक्षणादाहकोंऽहसाम् । वक्त्राम्भोजे गजेन्द्रस्य प्रवेशात्ते कृशोदरि ॥८६॥ अवस्थिति स सम्प्रापददरेऽमरपूजितः । इति श्रत्वाऽतुषद्वाणी पस्युरेणीविलोचना ॥ ८७ ॥
प्राप्तकर वह निरन्तर उनका अनुभव करता रहता था और उन्हीं में सतृष्ण रहकर लीला पूर्वक बहुत लम्बे समयको एक कलाकी तरह व्यतीत करता था ।। ६६-७३ ।। जिस समय उसकी आयुके अन्तिम छह माह रह गये और वह इस पृथिवी पर आनेके लिए सन्मुख हुआ उस समय इस जम्बूद्वीपके भरत क्षेत्र सम्बन्धी काशी देशमें बनारस नामका एक नगर था। उसमें काश्यपगोत्री राजा विश्वसेन राज्य करते थे। उनकी रानीका नाम ब्राह्मी था। देवोंने रत्नोंकी धारा बरसाकर उसकी पूजा की थी। रानी ब्राह्मीने वैशाखकृष्ण द्वितीयाके दिन प्रातःकालके समय विशाखा नक्षत्र में सोलह शुभ स्वप्न देखे और उसके बाद अपने मुख-कमलमें प्रवेश करता हुआ एक हाथी देखा । प्रातःकालके समय बजनेवाले नगाड़ोंके शब्दोंसे उसकी आँख खल गई और मङ्गलाभिषेकसे संतष्ट होकर तथा पहिन कर वह राजाके समीप इस प्रकार पहुँची मानो चाँदनी रात चन्द्रमाके समीप पहुँची हो ।।७४७८ ।। आदरपूर्वक वह महाराजके श्राधे सिंहासन पर बैठी और अपने द्वारा देखे हुए सब स्वप्न यथाक्रमसे कहने लगी ।। ७६ ।। महाराज विश्वसेन अवधिज्ञानी थे ही, अतः स्वप्न सुनकर इस प्रकार उनका फल कहने लगे। वे बोले कि हाथीके स्वमसे पुत्र होगा, बैलके देखनेसे वह तीनों लोकोंका स्वामी होगा, सिंहके देखनेसे अनन्त वीर्यका धारक होगा, लक्ष्मीका अभिषेक देखनेसे उसे मेरु पर्वतपर अभिषेककी प्राप्ति होगी, दो मालाओंको देखनेसे वह गृहस्थ धर्म और मुनि धर्मरूप तीर्थकी प्रवृत्ति करनेवाला होगा, चन्द्रमण्डलके देखनेसे वह तीन लोकका चन्द्रमा होगा, सूर्यके देखनेसे तेजस्वी होगा, मत्स्योंका जोड़ा देखनेसे सुखी होगा, कलश देखनेसे निधियोंका स्वामी होगा, सरोवरके देखनेसे समस्त लक्षणोंसे युक्त होगा, समुद्रके देखनेसे सर्वज्ञ होगा, सिंहासनके देखनेसे समस्त लोगोंके द्वारा पूजनीय होगा, विमान देखनेसे स्वर्गसे अवतार लेनेवाला होगा, नागेन्द्रका भवन देखनेसे तीन ज्ञानका धारक होगा, रत्नोंकी राशि देखनेसे गुणोंसे आलिङ्गित होगा, निर्धूम अग्निके देखनेसे पापोंको जलानेवाला होगा और हे कृशोदरि ! मुखकमलमें हाथीका प्रवेश देखनेसे सूचित होता है कि देवोके द्वारा पूजित हानवाला वह पुत्र आज तरे उदरम आका मान हुआ है । इस प्रकार वह मृगनयनी पतिसे स्वप्नोंका फल सुनकर बहुत सन्तुष्ट हुई ॥८०-८७ ।।

He said that from seeing the elephant, he would have a son, from seeing the bull, he would be the lord of the three worlds, from seeing the lion, he would be the holder of infinite strength, from seeing the anointing of Lakshmi, he would get the anointing on Mount Meru, from seeing two garlands, he would be the one who would initiate the householder dharma and the muni dharma, from seeing the moon, he would be the moon of the three worlds, from seeing the sun, he would be radiant, from seeing a pair of fish, he would be happy, from seeing a pot, he would be the lord of treasures, from seeing a lake, he would be endowed with all auspicious signs, from seeing the ocean, he would be omniscient, from seeing the throne, he would be worshipped by all people, from seeing the aircraft, he would be the one who descended from heaven, from seeing the abode of the Nagendra, he would be the holder of the three knowledges, from seeing a heap of jewels, he would be adorned with virtues, from seeing a smokeless fire, he would be the one who burns sins, and O Krishodari! from seeing the elephant entering the mouth-lotus, it is indicated that the son who is worshipped by the gods, who is the destroyer of the enemy, has today entered your womb. Thus, she, with deer-like eyes, was very pleased to hear the fruits of the dreams from her husband. || 80-87 ||
