लीलावलोकनैसिय॑धाद्विसम्भणं भृशम् । साप्याह भवता सार्धमागमिष्यामि मां भवान् ॥ २२३ ॥ गृहीत्वा यात्विति व्यक्तं श्रुत्वा तत्त्वत्पतेरहम् । बिभेमि तन्न वक्तव्यमिति तेनाभिलाषिता ॥ २२४ ॥ मा भैषीस्त्वं वराकोऽसौ किं करिष्यति भीलुकः। ततो येन तवापायो न स्यातक्रियते मया ॥ २२५ ॥ इत्यन्योन्यकथाकाले हस्तानीतसरोरुहः । वज्रमुष्टिः समागत्य करवालं प्रियाकरे ॥ २२६ ॥ निधाय मुनिपादाब्जद्वयमभ्यर्च्य भक्तितः । आनम' प्रिया तस्य प्रहर्तमसिमुद्दधे ॥ २२७ ॥ करेण शूरसेनोऽहंस्तत्करासिं तदैव सः । आच्छिद्य न्यपतद्भूमौ शूरसेनकराङ्ग लिम् ॥ २२८ ॥ वज्रमुष्टिस्तदालोक्य मा भैषीरित्यभाषत । भीताहमिति सा शाठयाददितास्मै पृथोरारम् ॥ २२९ ॥ तदैव शूरसेनोऽपि भ्रातृभिलब्धवित्तकैः । चौर्येणाङ्ग भवद्भागं गृहाणेत्युदितः पृथक ॥ २३० ॥ स भव्योऽतिविरक्तः सन्न धनेन प्रयोजनम् । संसारादतिभीतोऽहं तद्ग्रहिष्यामि संयमम् ॥ २३ ॥ इत्यत्रवीदयं हेतुः कस्तपोग्रहणे तव । वदेत्युक्तः स तैश्छिन्न'निजहस्ताङ्गुलित्रणम् ॥ २३२ ॥ दर्शयित्वाऽवदत्सर्वमात्ममङ्गीविचेष्टितम् । तत्सुभानुः समाकर्ण्य स्त्रीनिन्दामकरोदिति ॥ २३३ ॥ स्थान ता एव निन्दायाः परत्रासक्तिमागताः । वर्णमात्रेण राजन्त्यो रज्जयन्त्योऽपरान् भृशम् ॥ २३४ ॥ आदाय कृत्रिमं रागं रागिणां नयनप्रियाः । बिभ्रतीह भृशं भापारम्याश्चित्राकृतीः स्त्रियः ॥ २३५ ॥ सुखं विषयज प्राप्तुं प्रासमाधुर्यमालिकाः । किंपाकफलमाला वा कान हन्युर्मनोरमाः २३६ ॥
मातरः केवलं नैताः प्रजानामेव योषितः । दोषाणामपि दुःशिक्षा दुर्विद्या इव दुःखदाः ॥ २३७ ॥ आया और उसने उसे अपना शरीर दिखाकर मीठी बातों, चेष्टाओं, लीलापूर्ण विलोकनों और हँसी मजाक आदिसे शीध्र ही अपने वश कर लिया। वह शूरसेनने कहने लगी कि मैं आपके साथ चलूँगी, आप मुझे लेकर चलिए । मंगीकी बात सुनकर उसने स्पष्ट कहा कि मैं तुम्हारे पति से डरता हूँ इसलिए तुम्हें ऐसी बात नहीं कहनी चाहिए। उत्तरमें मंगीने कहा कि तुम डरो मत, वह नीच डरपोक तुम्हारा क्या कर सकता है ? फिर भी जिससे तुम्हारी कुछ हानि न हो वह काम मैं किये देती हूँ ॥ २२२-२२५॥ इस प्रकार इन दोनोंकी परस्पर बात-चीत हो रही थी कि उसी समय हाथमें कमल लिये वनमुष्टि आ गया। उसने अपनी तलवार तो मंगीके हाथमें दे दी और स्वय वह भक्तिसे मुनिराजके दोनों चरण-कमलोंकी पूजा करनेके लिए नम्रीभूत हुआ। उसी समय उसकी प्रियाने उसपर प्रहार करनेके लिए तलवार उठाई परन्तु शूरसेनने उसके हाथसे उसी वक्त तलवार छीन ली। इस कर्मसे शूरसेनके हाथकी अंगुलियाँ कट-कट कर जमीन पर गिर गई ।। २२६-२२८ ॥ यह देखकर वज्रमुष्टिने कहा कि हे प्रिय! डरो मत । इसके उत्तरमें मंगीने झूठमूठ ही कह दिया कि हाँ, मैं डर गई थी।। २२६॥ जिस समय यह सब हो रहा था उसी समय शूरसेनके छह भाई चोरीका धन लेकर आ गये और उससे कहने लगे कि हे भाई! तू अपना हिस्सा ले ले ॥ २३० ॥ परन्तु, वह भव्य अत्यन्त विरक्त हो चुका था अतः कहने लगा कि मुझे धनसे प्रयोजन नहीं है, मैं तो संसारसे बहुत ही डर गया हूं इसलिए संयम धारण करूँगा ।। २३१ ।। उसकी बात सुनकर भाइयोंने कहा कि तेरे तप ग्रहण करनेका क्या कारण है ? सो कह । इस प्रकार भाइयोंके कहनेपर उसने अपने हाथकी कटी हुई अंगुलियोंका घाव दिखाकर मङ्गी तथा अपने बीचकी सब चेष्टाएँ कह सुनाई। उन्हें सुनकर सुभानु इस प्रकार स्त्रियोंकी निन्दा करने लगा ।। २३२-२३३ ॥ कि पर पुरुषमें आसक्तिको प्राप्त हुई स्त्रियाँ ही निन्दाका स्थान हैं। ये वर्ण मात्रसे सुन्दर दिखती हैं और दूसरे पुरुषोंको अत्यन्त राग युक्त कर लेती हैं। ये बनावटी प्रेमसे ही रागी मनुष्योंके नेत्रोंको प्रिय दिखती हैं और अनेक प्रकारके आभूषणोंसे रमणीय चित्र विचित्र वेष धारण करती हैं ॥ २३४-२३५ ॥ ये विषय-सुख करनेके लिए तो बड़ी मधुर मालूम होती हैं परन्तु अन्तमें किंपाक फलके समूहके समान जान पड़ती हैं। आचार्य कहते हैं कि ये स्त्रियाँ किन्हें नहीं नष्ट कर सकती हैं अर्थात् सभीको नष्ट कर सकती हैं ।। ३३६ ।। ये स्त्रियाँ केवल अपने

Hearing this, his brothers said, "What is the reason for you taking up austerity? Tell us." Thus, urged by his brothers, he showed them the wound of his severed fingers and told them everything about his dealings with Mangi. Hearing this, Subhanu began to criticize women, saying, || 232-233 ||
"Women who are attached to other men are the source of slander. They appear beautiful merely because of their complexion, and they make other men intensely lustful. They appear pleasing to the eyes of lustful men only because of their artificial love, and they adorn themselves with various ornaments and wear beautiful, elaborate costumes." || 234-235 ||
"They seem very sweet to obtain worldly pleasures, but in the end, they are like a bunch of bitter fruits. The Acharya says that these women can destroy anyone, that is, they can destroy everyone." || 236 ||
These women are not only the mothers of the people, but they are also the cause of suffering, like bad education and bad knowledge. || 237 ||
