किन्तु नाकाशगामित्वसामर्थ्य तेषु विद्यते । तस्मात्सेनापतिः प्रेष्यस्त्वयायं नूतनः कृतः ॥ ३८८ ॥ रष्टमार्गः परावृष्यः सिद्धकार्यः श्रतागमः । जात्यादिविद्यासम्पन्नः स्यादस्मात्कार्यनिर्णयः ॥ ३८९ ॥ इत्येतदुपदेशेन मनोवेगाभिधानकम् । विजयं कुमुदाख्यान ख्यातं रविगतिं हितम् ॥ ३.९० ॥ सहायीकृस्य सम्पूज्य कुमार भवतोऽपरः । कार्यवित्कार्यकृयास्ति नात्रेति श्लाघयापः ॥ ३९ ॥ पवमानात्मजं वाच्यस्त्वयैवं स विभीषणः । अत्र त्वमेव धर्मज्ञः प्राज्ञः कार्यविपाकवित् ॥ ३९२॥ हितो लक्केश्वरायास्मै सूर्यवंशानिमाय च । सीताहरणमन्याय्यमाकल्पमयशस्करम् ॥ ३९३ ॥ अपथ्यमिति संश्राव्य रावणं रतिमोहितम् । मोचनीया त्वया सीता तथा सति भवत्कुलम् ॥ ३९४ ॥ त्वयैव रक्षितं पापादपायादपवादतः । इति सामोक्तिभिस्तस्मिन् स्वीकृते स्वीकृता द्विषः ॥ ३९५ ॥
गोमिन्या सह सीतापि वेस्सि दूतोतमापरम् । त्वमेव कृत्यं निर्णीय द्विवृत्तं शीघ्रमेहि माम् ॥३९६॥ इत्यमुञ्चत्सहायैस्तै स कुमारः प्रणम्य तम् । गत्वाप्य सहसा लकां ज्ञातो वीक्ष्य विभीषणम् ॥ ३९७ ॥ रामभट्टारकेणाहं प्रेषितो भवदन्तिकम् । इति सप्रश्रर्य सर्व तदुक्तं तमजीगमत् ॥ ३९८ ॥ इदं च स्वयमाहासौ स्वामिसन्देशहारिणम् । प्रापय त्वं खगाधीश मां तस्मै हितकारिणम् ॥ ३९९॥ रामाभिप्रेतकार्यस्य त्वया सिद्धिस्तथासति । कार्यमेतत्त उमद्वारा विधातुं भवतो भवेत् ॥ ४०॥
त्वयोक्तोऽपि न चेत्सीतां विमुञ्चति स मन्दधीः । नापराधस्तवापुण्यः स्वयमेव विनक्ष्यति ॥ ४०१ ॥ कौन हैं जिसे वहाँ भेजा जावे ? तो उसका उत्तर यह है कि यद्यपि दक्षता-चतुरता आदि गुणोंसे सहित अनेक भूमिगोचरी राजा हैं परन्तु उनमें आकाशमें चलनेकी सामर्थ्य नहीं है इसलिए आपने जो यह नया सेनापति बनाया है इसे ही भेजना चाहिए ॥ ३८७-३८८ ॥ इस अणुमान्ने मार्ग देखा है, इसे दूसरे दबा नहीं सकते, एक बार यह कार्य सिद्ध कर आया है, अनेक शास्त्रोंका जानकार है तथा जाति आदि विद्याओंसे सहित है, इसलिए इससे कार्यका निर्णय अवश्य ही हो जावेगा ॥३८६।। अगदके इस उपदेशसे रामचन्द्रने मनोवेग, विजय, कुमुद और हितकारी रविगतिको सहायक बनाकर अणुमानका आदर-सत्कार कर उनकी प्रशंसा करते हुए कहा कि हे कुमार! यहाँ आपके सिवाय कार्यको जाननेवाला तथा कायको करनेवाला दूसरा नहीं है । राजा रामचन्द्रने अणुमानसे यह भी कहा कि तुम सर्वप्रथम विभीषणसे कहना कि इस लङ्का द्वीपमें आपही धर्मके जानकार हैं, विद्वान हैं
और कार्यके परिपाक-फलको जाननेवाले हैं। लङ्काके ईश्वर रावण और सूर्यवंशके प्रधान रामचन्द्र दोनोंका हित करनेवाले हैं, इसलिए आप रावणसे कहिए-जो तू सीताको हरकर लाया है सो तेरा यह कार्य अन्यायपूर्ण है, कल्पान्तकाल तक अपयश करनेवाला है, तर
है, तथा अहितकारी है। इस प्रकार रतिसे मोहित रावणको सुनाकर आप सीताको छुड़ा दीजिये। ऐसा करने पर आप अपने कुलकी पापसे, विनाशसे तथा अपवादसे स्वयं ही रक्षा कर लेंगे। इस प्रकारकी सामोक्तियोंसे यदि विभीषण वशमें हो गया तो शत्रु अपने वशमें ही समझिये । हे दूतोत्तम ! इतना ही नहीं, लक्ष्मीके साथसाथ सीता भी आई हुई ही समझिए। इसके सिवाय और जो कुछ करने योग्य कार्य हों उनका तथा शत्रुके समाचारोंका निर्णय कर शीघ्र ही मेरे पास वापिस आओ॥ ३६०-३६६॥ इस प्रकार कहकर रामचन्द्रने अणुमानको सहायकोंके साथ बिदा किया। कुमार अणुमान भी रामचन्द्रको नमस्कार कर गया और शीघ्र ही लङ्का पहुँच गया। वहाँ उसने सब समाचार जानकर विभीषणके दर्शन किये
और विनयपूर्वक कहा कि 'मैं राजा रामचन्द्रके द्वारा आपके पास भेजा गया हूँ। ऐसा कहकर उसने, रामचन्द्रने जो कुछ कहा था वह सब बड़ी विनयके साथ विभीषणसे निवेदन कर दिया ॥३६७-३६८।। साथ ही उसने अपनी ओरसे यह बात भी कही कि हे विद्याधरोंके ईश! आप स्वामीका सन्देश लानेवाले तथा हित करनेवाले मुझको रावणके पास तक भेज दीजिये। आपसे रामचन्द्रके इष्टकार्यकी सिद्धि अवश्य हो जावेगी और ऐसा हो जानेपर यह कार्य मेरे द्वारा आपसे ही कहलावेगा ।। ३६९-४००॥ आपके द्वारा ऐसा कहे जानेपर भी वह मूर्ख यदि सीताको नहीं छोड़ता

Saying this, Ramachandra sent Anuman off with his assistants. Anuman, bowing to Ramachandra, went to Lanka and, after learning everything, met Vibhishan. || 397 ||
