त्रिषष्टितम पर्व
द्वीपेऽस्मिन्भारते खेचरायुदश्रेणिविश्रते। मेघवाहन विद्याधरेशो गगनवल्लभे ॥ २९ ॥ देव्यां तुम्मेघमालिन्यां मेघनादः खगाधिपः। श्रेणीद्वयाधिपत्येन भोगांश्चिरमभुक सः॥३०॥ कदाचिन्मन्दरे विद्यां प्रज्ञप्तिं नन्दने वने । साधयन्मेघनादोऽयमच्युतेशेन बोधितः ॥ ३१ ॥ लब्धबोधिः समाश्रित्य 'सुरामरगुरुं यमम् । सुगुतिसमितीः सम्यगादाय चिरमाचरन् ॥ ३२॥ अन्येघुनन्दानाऽख्याद्री प्रतिमायोगमागमत् । अश्वग्रीवानुजो भान्त्वा सुकण्ठाख्यो भवार्णवे ॥३३॥ असुरत्वं समासाद्य प्रष्दैनं मुनिसत्तमम् । विधाय बहुधा क्रोधादुपसर्गानवारयन् ॥ ३४॥ महायोगात्प्रतिज्ञाता स्थिर चालयित खलः । "लजातिरस्करिण्येव सोऽन्तर्धानमुपागतः ॥३५॥ मुनिः संन्यस्य कालान्ते सोऽष्युतेऽगात्प्रतीन्द्रताम् । इन्द्रेण सह सम्प्रीत्या सप्रवीचारभोगभाक् ॥३६॥ प्रामव्युत्याच्युताधीशो द्वीपेऽस्मिन् प्राग्विदेहके। विषये मजलावत्या स्थानीये रत्नसञ्चये ॥ ३७ ।। राज्ञः क्षेमकराख्यस्य कृतपुण्योऽभवत्सुतः । श्रीमान् कनकचित्रायां भासो वा मेघविद्युतोः ॥ ३८ ॥ आधानप्रीतिसुप्रीतिधतिमोदप्रियोनव। प्रभृत्युक्तक्रियोपेतो धीमान् वज्रायुधाइयः ॥ ३९ ॥ तन्मातरीव तजन्मतोषः सर्वेष्वभूदु बहः। भवेच्छचीशदिश्येव किं प्रकाशोऽशुमालिनः॥४०॥ अवधिष्ट वपुस्तस्य सार्द्ध रूपादिसम्पदा । भूषितोऽ'निमिषो बासौ भूषणैः सहजैर्गुणैः ॥ ४ ॥
अनन्खवीयका जीव मरकर धरणेन्द्र हुआ था। उसने नरकमें जाकर अनन्तवीर्यको समझाया जिससे प्रर्तिबुद्ध हो कर उसने सम्यग्दर्शन रूपी रत्न प्राप्त कर लिया। संख्यात वर्षकी आयु पूरी कर पापका उदय कम होनेके कारण वह वहाँ से च्युत हुआ और जम्बूद्वीप सम्बन्धी भरतक्षेत्रके विजया पर्वत की उत्तर श्रेणी में प्रसिद्ध गगमवल्लभ नगरके राजा मेघवाहन विद्याधरकी मेघमालिनी नामकी रानीसे मेघनाद नामका विद्याधर पुत्र हुआ। वह दोनों श्रेणियोंका आधिपत्य पाकर चिरकालतक भोगोंको भोगता रहा ॥२८-३०॥ किसी समय यह मेघनाद मेरु पर्वतके नन्दन नामकी विद्या सिद्ध कर रहा था, वहाँ अपराजितके जीव अच्युतेन्द्रने उसे समझाया ॥३१॥ जिससे उसे आत्मज्ञान हो गया। उसने सुरामरगुरु नामक मुनिराजके पास जाकर दीक्षा धारण कर ली तथा उत्तम गुप्तियों और समितियोंको लेकर चिर कालतक उनका आचरण करता रहा ॥ ३२ ॥ किसी एक दिन यही मुनिराज नन्दन नामक पर्वतपर प्रतिमा योग धारण कर विराजमान थे। अश्वग्रीव का छोटा भाई सुकण्ठ संसार रूपी समुद्र में चिर काल तक भ्रमणकर असुर अवस्था को प्राप्त हुआ था। वह वहाँसे निकला और इन श्रेष्ठ मुनिराजको देखकर क्रोधके वश अनेक प्रकारके उपसर्ग करता रहा ॥३३-३४ ॥ परन्तु वह दुष्ट उन दृढ़प्रतिज्ञ मुनिराजको ग्रहण किये हुए व्रतसे रंच मात्र भी विचलित करनेमें जब समर्थ नहीं हो सका तब लज्जारूपी परदाके द्वारा ही मानो अन्तर्धानको प्राप्त हो गया-छिप गया ॥ ३५॥ वे मुनिराज संन्यासमरणकर आयुके अन्तमें अच्युतस्वर्गके प्रतीन्द्र हुए और इन्द्रके साथ उत्तम प्रीति रखकर प्रवीचार सुखका अनुभव करने लगे ॥ ३६॥ अपराजित का जीव जो इन्द्र हुआ था वह पहले च्युत हुआ और इसी जम्बूद्वीप सम्बन्धी पूर्वविदेहक्षेत्रके . रनसंचय नामक नगरमें राजा क्षेमकरकी कनकचित्रा नामकी रानीसे मेघकी बिजलीसे प्रकाशके समान पुण्यात्मा श्रीमान् तथा बुद्धिमान् वायुध नामका पुत्र हुआ। जब यह उत्पन्न हुआ था तब आधान प्रीति सुप्रीति धृति-मोह प्रियोद्भव आदि क्रियाएं की गई थीं ॥ ३७ -३६॥ उसके जन्मसे उसकी माताके ही समान सबको बहुत भारी संतोष हुआ था सो ठीक ही है क्योंकि सूर्यका प्रकाश क्या केवल पूर्व दिशा में ही होता है १ भावार्थ-जिस प्रकार सूर्य पूर्व दिशासे उत्पन्न होता है परन्त उसका प्रकाश सब दिशाओंमें फैल जाता है उसी प्रकार पुत्रकी उत्पत्ति यद्यपि रानी कनकचित्राके ही हुई थी परन्तु उससे हर्ष सभीको हुआ था॥४०॥ रूप आदि सम्पदाके साथ उसका शरीर बढ़ने लगा और जिस प्रकार स्वाभाविक आभूषणोंसे देव सुशोभित होता है उसी प्रकार स्वाभाविक

In this island of Bharat, where the celestial beings rest in their ranks, there lived a Vidyadhara king named Meghavahana, the lord of the sky, in the city of Gaganavallabha. || 29 ||

His queen, Meghamalini, bore him a son named Meghanaada, the lord of birds. He ruled over two ranks and enjoyed pleasures for a long time. || 30 ||

Once, while Meghanaada was perfecting his knowledge in the Nandana forest on Mount Meru, he was enlightened by the liberated soul, Achyutesha. || 31 ||

Having attained enlightenment, he took refuge in the great sage, Suramaraguru, and followed the excellent secrets and assemblies for a long time. || 32 ||

One day, this same sage was residing on Mount Nandana, practicing the image yoga. Meanwhile, Sukantha, the younger brother of Ashvagriva, had wandered through the ocean of existence for a long time and attained the state of an Asura. He emerged from there and, upon seeing the great sage, was filled with anger and inflicted various kinds of torments. || 33-34 ||

However, this wicked being was unable to even slightly shake the firm vows of the sage. He disappeared, as if hidden by a veil of shame. || 35 ||

The sage, having renounced worldly life, became the chief of the celestial beings in Achyuta heaven at the end of his life. He enjoyed the pleasures of the celestial realm with Indra, with whom he had great affection. || 36 ||

The liberated soul who had become Indra was previously born in the eastern Videha region of this Jambudvipa, in the city of Ratnasamchaya. He was born as the son of King Kshemakara and his queen, Kanakachitra, a virtuous and intelligent being, shining like lightning in the clouds. || 37-38 ||

At his birth, actions like Aadhāna, Preeti, Supreeti, Dhriti, Moh, and Priyodhbhava were performed. || 39 ||

His birth brought great joy to everyone, just like his mother. Indeed, what is the light of the sun but a reflection of its own essence? || 40 ||

His body grew with all its beauty and splendor. Just as a god is adorned with natural ornaments, he was adorned with natural virtues. || 41 ||

Anankhaviyaka, a Jiva, was a resident of the hell called Marakara Dharanendra. He went to hell and explained to Anantvirya, who, upon understanding, attained the jewel of Samyagdarshan. After completing his allotted lifespan, he was released from hell due to the diminishing of his sins. He was born as the son of Meghamalini, the queen of Meghavahana, the Vidyadhara king of Gaganavallabha, a famous city in the northern range of Mount Vijaya in the Bharat region of Jambudvipa. He ruled over both ranks and enjoyed pleasures for a long time. || 28-30 ||
