## The Forty-Seventh Chapter
**506** Previously, in a past life, I was a **Prati-gaddha** (a type of bird), then a **Naraka** (hell being), then a **Chamuraka** (a type of animal), then a **Diwakara Prabha Deva** (a celestial being), then a **Mativara** (a wise person). **363**
Then I became an **Ahamindra** (a celestial king), and from there I became **Subahu** (a strong-armed being), then an **Ahamindra** again, and finally, in my ninth life, I was born as **Bharata**, the protector of the six continents. **364**
**365-366** The **Bahubali**'s life began as a **Senapati** (commander), then he became an **Arya** (noble) in the **Bhoga-bhoomi** (realm of enjoyment), then a **Prabhankara Deva** (a celestial being), then an **Akampana** (steadfast), then an **Ahamindra**, then a **Maha-bahu** (great-armed), then an **Ahamindra** again, and now he is **Bahubali**, the one with the unparalleled great rise.
**367-369** In my first life, I was the minister of King **Pritivardhana**, then I became an **Arya** in the **Bhoga-bhoomi**, then a **Kanaka-prabha Deva** (a celestial being), then an **Ananda** (joyful), then an **Ahamindra**, then a **Pitha** (a type of celestial being), then an **Ahamindra** again, and now I am the **Ganadhara** (disciple) of Lord **Vrishabhadeva**. The **Ananta-vijaya**'s life began as a **Purohita** (priest), then he became an **Arya** in the **Bhoga-bhoomi**, then a **Prabhanjana Deva** (a celestial being), then a **Dhana-mitra** (friend of wealth), then an **Ahamindra**, then a **Maha-pitha** (great throne), then an **Ahamindra** again, and now he is the **Ganadhara** of **Ananta-vijaya**.
