Then, taking the ashes of the Panch Kalyanak Bhagini, they applied it to their foreheads, both arms, neck, and chest, with great devotion, considering it to be the most sacred. Filled with joy and devotion, they performed a play called Anand Natak. All of them, being Brahmacharis, were the seven Upasakas.
They established the Garhapatya, Ahavaniya, and Dakshinagni, the three fires, in their homes, during the three Sandhyas. They also established the Dharmachakra, Chatra, and the Jinenadra pratima, near these three fires, and worshipped them with mantras, three times a day. They welcomed the Upasakas as guests, with great respect, as is the custom of Grihasthas.
The fire of sorrow, kindled by the separation from their beloved, was burning the enlightened mind of Bharat.
Seeing this, the Ganadhara, Vrishabhasena, wishing to alleviate Bharat's sorrow, began to narrate the past lives of all of them.
He said, "The soul of Vrishabhadeva was Jayavarma in the first life, Mahabala in the second, Lalitanga in the third, Vanajangha in the fourth, Bhogabhuja in the fifth, Shridhara in the sixth, Suvidhi in the seventh, Achyutanayak in the eighth, Vajranabhi in the ninth, Anuttarantyaja in the tenth, and then, descending from there, he became Vrishabhadeva, worshipped by all the Indras."
