## Mahapuranam
From that Manoranatha, then from him Shantamadan, then from him Samanika-amara. ||376||. The king Aparajita, from him I am Indra, then I was born. Then my younger brother Jayasena was born, this one is worshipped. ||377||
In this world-like-a-difficult-path, the nature of the world is such that there is a combination of what is desired and what is not desired. The union is sudden, and the separation is ultimate, for all, isn't it so? Knowing this, why are you so disheartened, O one with eight limbs of action broken? The Lord of Nirvana has attained the incomparable state of liberation, why then is there sorrow in this place of contentment? ||378||
We too are the last of the bodies, from the association of the pure intellect, we have attained our true nature, having destroyed all the impurities of karma. We will attain the incomparable, the best of happiness, the state of the Chakravartin, very soon, which is unattainable by others. ||379||
There may be sorrow at the death of dear friends, because their death is due to good and bad karma, and it is still the cause of their birth in this world. But if the Siddha-pada, which has destroyed the world and is constantly prayed to, is attained by oneself, then how should this wise man grieve, if it is not an enemy? Meaning: Sorrow is for the enemy, not for the friend, in the place of joy. Therefore, you should all rejoice, not grieve. ||380||
O Lord of Wealth, the eight evil enemies of the Lord Vrishabhadeva, root and branch, have been completely destroyed by the eight virtues, he is beloved. What is lost here, O Lord of Wealth? Give up delusion. Direct your mind towards the victory over sorrow. ||381||

The life of Jayasena was first a confectioner named Lolup, then a mongoose, then a Bhogabhumika Arya, then a deva named Manoranatha, after that a king Shantamadan, then a Samanika deva, after that a king Aparajita, then Indra, and now my younger brother, the extremely powerful Jayasena. ||376-377||
Shri Vrishabhasena Ganadhara Chakravartin is saying to Bharata that in this world-like-a-difficult-path, in this way, for all beings, there is a combination of desired and undesired things, and in the end, suddenly, it is destroyed.
