The Tiryan-gosphan-pashana (a type of stone) lay outside the battlefield, and seeing the fallen Vidyadharas, the ignorant people said, "Look, the Vidyadharas have gone to heaven with their bodies." ||157|| The jewels that were falling from the crowns of the Vidyadharas, whose crowns were shattered by the arrows, seemed as if the gods, who are controlled by their virtues, had offered them to Jayakumar. ||158|| Seeing the women who had come with the fallen Vidyadharas, offering water-like tears to them, Jayakumar was filled with compassion. ||159|| "Yama is impartial," this is just a saying. If it were not so, why would he be the king of the dead only in the army of Chakravarti's son, Arka Kirti? In other words, why would he only kill his army? ||160|| By killing those who were acting unjustly, Jayakumar made even the sharp Yama, like a divine fire, embody Dharma in that battle.
**Meaning:**
When there is no witness, the accused is made to enter fire or burning coals are placed on his hand to test him. The guilty person burns in the fire, but the innocent person, like Sita, does not burn. That fire is called divine fire. Just as divine fire, even though it is evil, only burns the guilty and not the innocent, similarly, Yama, even though he is evil, only killed the unjust and not the just. Therefore, even though he was evil, Yama became like a divine fire, embodying Dharma at that time. ||161|| At that moment, the horses of the Chakravarti, roaring with a loud neigh, came forward, frightening the enemies and encouraging their own army. ||162|| Like the warriors who were in the front of Yama's army, the horsemen, with their shining and sharp spears, came forward, rotating them repeatedly. ||163|| Jayakumar, the victor, mounted his horse, Jayaturangama, and, filled with anger, ordered his cavalry to fight with spears. ||164|| The sea of soldiers, with its waves of horses, was like a roaring ocean, with the sound of drums and other instruments.
