## Forty-fourth Chapter
401
**147.** The arrows released by the earth-dwellers, piercing the enemies, were falling to the ground, their blood staining the earth, like the maids of celestial women.
**148.** The Chakravarti has only one Chakra, which does not harm anyone. But in that battle, many beings were killed by numerous Chakras, like the untimely cycle of death.
**149.** The arrows released simultaneously by the Vidyadharas and earth-dwellers, with equal speed, were stuck in the sky, facing each other, for a while.
**150.** The sky was covered with the arrows of the Vidyadharas and earth-dwellers, blocking each other. Due to this, they could not see each other, and the battle stopped.
**151-152.** Seeing his army wounded by the weapons of his own and the enemy, and the arrows of the Vidyadharas, Jayakumar, with eyes like fierce fire, threw his gaze towards the sky. He was filled with anger, ready to destroy everything, resembling Yama, the god of death. He was ready to fight, holding the Vajrakanda bow, like Indra.
**153.** The mere sound of Jayakumar's bowstring, which could overpower the thunder of the Vajra, frightened many enemies, who dropped their bows, arrows, and hearts. (Meaning: They were so scared that their bows and arrows fell, and their hearts were filled with fear.)
**154.** Jayakumar, who drew his bow to his ear, placed the arrow on the string, and released it with great speed, seemed to be not attacking, even though he was releasing arrows.
**155.** The arrows released by Jayakumar were not seen in the middle, nor on the bodies, only the enemies with wounds were seen falling on the ground.
**156.** Jayakumar's arrows, which closed the eyes of those who saw them, burned everyone, and were as terrifying as a group of meteors, covered the faces of the directions.
