भूमिष्ठनिष्ठर क्षिप्ता द्विष्ठानत्कृष्य यष्टयः' । ययरंदिवं दूतीदेशीया दिव्ययोषिताम् ॥१४७ ।। चक्रिणश्चक्रमेकं तन्न ततः कस्यचित्क्षतिः। 'चरकालचक्राभैहवस्तत्र जनिरें ॥१४८॥ समवेग:१० समं मक्तैः शरैः खचरभूचरैः । व्योम्न्यन्योन्यम खालग्नः स्थितं कतिपयक्षणे ॥१४६।। खभूचरशरच्छन्न खे परस्पररोधिभिः। "अन्योन्यावीक्षणातेषाम् अभद रणनिषेधनम् ॥१५॥ स्वास्वैः१५ शस्त्रभोगानां शरैश्चाबाधितं भवाम् । स्वसैन्यं वीक्ष्य खोत्क्षिप्तवीक्षणोग्राशुशक्षणिः सद्यः संहारसंक्रखसमतिसमो" जयः । प्रारब्ध योद्धवजण वजकाण्डेन वजिवत ॥१५२।। निजिताशनिनिर्घोषजयज्याघोषभीलुकाः । चापसायकचेतांसि प्राक्षिपन्० सह शत्रवः ॥१५३॥ चापमाकर्णमाकृष्य ज्यानिवेशितसायकः । लधुसन्धानमोक्षः सोऽवेक्ष्य विध्यन्निवर क्षणम् ॥१५४॥ न मध्ये न शरीरेषु दृष्टास्तद्योजिताः शराः। दृष्टास्ते केवलं भूमौ सव्रणाः पतिताः परे ॥१५॥ निमीलयन्तश्चक्षूषि ज्वलयन्तः शिलीमुखाः । मुखानि ककुभां बन्नुः २३ २"खादुल्कालीविभीषणाः२५ ॥१५६॥

ड़ हुए बाण शत्रुओंको भेदकर आकाशमें बहुत दूरतक इस प्रकार जा रहे थे मानो देवांगनाओंकी दासियां ही हों ।।१४७।। चक्रवर्तीका चक्र तो एक ही होता है उससे किसीकी हानि नहीं होती परन्तु उस युद्ध में अकाल चक्रके समान बहुतसे चक्रोंसे अनेक जीव मारे गये थे ॥१४८॥ विद्याधर और भूमिगोचरियोंके द्वारा एक साथ छोड़े हुए समान वेगवाले बाण आकाशमें एक दूसरेके मुखसे मुख लगाकर कुछ देरतक ठहर गये थे ॥१४९॥ परस्पर एक दूसरेको रोकनेवाले विद्याधर और भूमिगोचरियोंके बाणोंसे आकाश ढक गया था और इसीलिये एक दूसरेके न दिख सकनेके कारण उनका युद्ध बन्द हो गया था ।।१५०॥ अपने
और शत्रुओंके शस्त्रों तथा विद्याधरोंके बाणोंसे अपनी सेनाको बहुत कुछ घायल हुआ देखकर नेत्ररूपी भयंकर अग्निको आकाशकी ओर फेंकनेवाला और संहार करनेके लिये कुपित हए यमराजकी समानता धारण करनेवाला जयकुमार इन्द्रकी तरह वज्रकाण्ड नामके धनुषसे युद्ध करनेके लिये तैयार हुआ ॥१५१-१५२॥ वज्रकी गर्जनाको जीतनेवाले जयकुमारके धनुषकी डोरीके शब्द मात्रसे डरे हुए कितने ही शत्रुओंने धनुष, बाण और हृदय-सब फेंक दिये । भावार्थ-भयसे उनके धनुष-बाण गिर गये थे और हृदय विक्षिप्त हो गये थे ॥१५३।। कान तक धनुष खीचकर जिसने डोरीपर बाण रक्खा है और जो बड़ी शीघ्रतासे बाणोंको रखता तथा छोड़ता है ऐसा जयकुमार क्षणभरके लिये ऐसा जान पड़ता था मानो प्रहार ही नहीं कर रहा हो अर्थात् बाण चला ही नहीं रहा हो ॥१५४॥ जयकुमारके द्वारा चलाये हुए बाण न बीचम दिखते थे, और न शरीरोम ही दिखाई दंत थं, कवल घावसहित जमीनपर पड़ हुए शत्रु ही दिखाई देते थे ॥१५५॥ जो देखनेवालोंके नेत्र बन्द कर रहे हैं, सबको जला रहे हैं और उल्काओंके समूहके समान भयंकर हैं ऐसे जयकुमारके बाणोंने दिशाओंके मुख ढक लिये थे
