368 I believe this blemish on the moon is due to this maiden, who conquered the moon with her radiance. It seems as though he has been afflicted with consumption due to worry. ||16|| The beautiful one with eyes like lotus petals conquered the moon along with the white lotus, and Lakshmi along with the lotus. What else remains in this world that cannot be conquered by her face? ||16|| I believe that the water lotus dwells in water and the land lotus thrives in the rays of the sun, both still striving to attain the beauty of her face. ||170|| She grew gradually, like the line of the moon, with her arts. As she grew, her qualities, rivaling the moon's radiance, also grew. ||17|| Thus, the one with perfect beauty of all her limbs, born of a pure lineage, was not even touched by Kamadeva, even in her youth, out of fear of Jayakumaar. ||172|| She had many images of the Jina made of jewels, and all their implements were made of gold. After the installation and related consecration, she performed great worship of these images, praising the Arhat with meaningful hymns, full of devotion. She gave gifts of vessels, honored the great monks, listened to the Dharma, and contemplated the meaning of the scriptures and the essence of the path, achieving the purity of right faith. Then, in the month of Phalguna, she performed the eight-day worship of the Jina with devotion, worshipped the images according to the rules, fasted, and then, with a slender body, came to give the remaining offerings. ||177|| She saw the king seated on his throne, and rising, she folded her hands. Taking the remaining offerings given by him, she placed them on her own head. ||178|| How many women were left after Lakshmi?
