Thirty-sixth Chapter
The daughter, exhausted from the fast, said, "Go, daughter, your time for breaking the fast is near." He dismissed the daughter, saying, "Take refuge in the time of breaking the fast." || 176 || Seeing her, the king, full of youth, without any blemish, thought about her marriage. || 180 || On a good day, he called his ministers, Shrutaartha, Siddhartha, Sarvartha, and Sumati, who were like the four types of wisdom: Koṣṭha-buddhi, Bīja-buddhi, Padānusārī, and Sambhinna-śrotrī. || 181 || He asked, "All the kings desire our daughter, who is the life of our lineage. Tell me, after deliberation, to whom shall we give this beautiful one?" || 182 || Shrutaartha, the ocean of scriptures, replied, "In this marriage, there should be a gathering of noble relatives, the son-in-law should be from a great lineage, there will be a lot of expenditure, and we will get the fruits of our birth and kingdom. Therefore, wise men should carefully consider this matter." || 183-184 || "If this relationship is made with the Chakravarti, all the kings will be our relatives, and your lineage will become as revered as the Ikshvaku lineage." || 185 || "All the qualities that should be sought in a groom, such as lineage, appearance, age, knowledge, character, beauty, and valor, are all present in him. Therefore, there is no need for any discussion. The one whose fame spreads in all directions, and who has conquered even the reflection of the sun, should be given this daughter, the son of the Chakravarti, Arka-kirti." || 186-187 || At that time, Siddhartha, the minister, said, "All that you say is true, but those who know the past customs do not think it is good for a younger person to have a relationship with an elder." || 188 || "Therefore, there are many famous princes, such as Prabhanjana, Rathavara, Bali, Vajrayudha, Megheshvara (Jayakumar), and Bhimabhuja, who are all full of wealth and clever, and who are even more excellent than each other." || 189 ||
