अष्टत्रिंशत्तमं पर्व
अवतारक्रियास्यान्या ततः संपरिवर्तते । कृतार्हत्पूजनस्यान्ते स्वर्गादवतरिष्यतः ॥ २१४॥ सोऽयं नृजन्मसंप्राप्त्या सिद्धि 'द्रागभिलाषुकः । चेतः सिद्धनमस्यायां समाधत्ते सुराधिराट् ॥ २१५ ॥ शुभैः षोडशभिः स्वप्नैः संसूचितमहोदयः । तदा स्वर्गावताराख्यां कल्याणीमश्नुते क्रियाम् ॥ २१६ ॥ इति इन्द्रावतारः ।
ततोऽवतीर्णो गर्भेऽसौ रत्नगर्भगृहोपमे । जनयित्र्या महादेव्या श्रीदेवीभिविशोधिते ॥ २१७॥ हिरण्यवृष्टि धनदे प्राक् षण्मासान् प्रवर्षति । 'अन्वायान्त्यामिवानन्दात् स्वर्गसंपदि भूतलम् ॥२१८॥ अमृतश्वसने मन्दम् श्रावाति व्याप्तसौरभे । भूदेव्या इव निःश्वासे प्रक्लृप्ते पवनामरैः ॥२१६॥ दुन्दुभिध्वनिते मन्द्रम् उत्थिते पथि वार्मुचाम् । श्रकालस्तनिताशङ्काम् श्रातन्वति शिखण्डिनाम् ॥ २२०॥ मन्दारत्रजमम्लानिम् श्रामोदाहृतषट्पदाम् । मुञ्चत्स गुह्यकाख्येषु १२ निकायेष्वमृताशिनाम् ॥२२१॥ देवीषूपचरन्तीषु देवीं भुवनमातरम् । लक्ष्म्या समः समागत्य श्रीहीधीधृतिकोर्तिषु ॥ २२२॥ कस्मिँश्चित् सुकृतावासे" पुण्ये राजर्षिमन्दिरे । हिरण्यगर्भो धत्तेऽसौ हिरण्योत्कृष्टजन्मताम् ॥२२३॥ हिरण्य सूचितोत्कृष्टजन्यत्वात् स तथा श्रुतिम् " । बिभ्राणां तां क्रियां धते गर्भस्थोऽपि त्रिबोधभृत् ॥ २२४ ॥ इति हिरण्यजन्मता ।
आश्चर्य की बात है कि धीरवीर पुरुष स्वर्गके वैसे ऐश्वर्यको भी बिना किसी कष्टके छोड़ देते हैं ।। २१३ || इस प्रकार यह सैंतीसवीं इन्द्रत्याग क्रिया है ।

तदनन्तर- जो इन्द्र आयुके अन्तमें अरहन्तदेवका पूजन कर स्वर्गसे अवतार लेना चाहता है उसके आगेकी अवतार नामकी क्रिया होती है || २१४ || मैं मनुष्य जन्म पाकर बहुत शीघ्र मोक्ष प्राप्त किया चाहता हूं यही विचार कर वह इन्द्र अपना चित्त सिद्ध भगवान्‌को नमस्कार करने में लगाता है ।। २१५ ॥ शुभ सोलह स्वप्नोंके द्वारा जिसने अपना बड़ा भारी अभ्युदय - माहात्म्य सूचित किया है ऐसा वह इन्द्र उस समय कल्याण करनेवाली स्वगतार नामकी क्रियाको प्राप्त होता है ।। २१६ ॥ | यह अड़तीसवीं इन्द्रावतार किया है ।
तदनन्तर- वे माता महादेवीके श्री आदि देवियोंके द्वारा शुद्ध किये हुए रत्नमय गर्भागार के समान गर्भ में अवतार लेते हैं ।। २१७ || गर्भ में आनेके छह महीने पहलेसे जब कुबेर घरपर रत्नों की वर्षा करने लगता है और वह रत्नोंकी वर्षा ऐसी जान पड़ती है मानो आनन्दसे स्वर्गकी सम्पदा ही भगवान् के साथ साथ पृथिवीतलपर आ रही हो ॥ जब अमृत के समान सुख देनेवाली वायु मन्द मन्द बहकर सब दिशाओं में फैल रही हो तथा ऐसी जान पड़ती हो मानो पवनकुमार देवोंके द्वारा निर्माण किया हुआ पृथिवीरूपी देवीका निःश्वास ही हो । जब आकाशमें उठी हुई- फैली हुई दुन्दुभि बाजोंकी गंभीर आवाज मयूरोंको असमय में होनेवाली मेघगर्जनाकी शंका उत्पन्न कर रही हो । जब गुहचक नाम के देवोंके समूह कभी म्लान न होनेवाली और सुगन्धिके कारण भूमरोंको अपनी ओर खींचने वाली कल्पवृक्षके फूलों की मालाओंको बरसा रहे हों। और जब श्री, ही, बुद्धि, धृति और कीर्ति नामकी देवियां लक्ष्मी के साथ आकर स्वयं जगन्माता महादेवीकी सेवा कर रही हों उस समय पुण्यके निवासभूत किसी पवित्र राजमन्दिर में वे हिरण्यगर्भ भगवान् हिरण्योत्कृष्ट जन्म धारण करते हैं ।२१८२२३|| जो गर्भ में स्थित रहते हुए भी तीन ज्ञानको धारण करनेवाले हैं ऐसे भगवान्, हिरण्य

The Goddesses Sri, Hri, Buddhi, Dhriti, and Kirti, along with Lakshmi, come together to serve the mother of the universe, Mahadevi. || 222 ||

In a certain abode of virtue, a holy temple of the royal sages, he, the **Hiranyagarbha** (Golden Womb), takes birth, born of the **Hiranyotkrista** (Golden Excellence) lineage. || 223 ||

He, who bears the three knowledges, even while in the womb, takes on this **Kriya** (Process), indicated by the name **Hiranyotkrista**, meaning "born of the golden excellence." || 224 ||

This is the **Hiranyajamta** (Golden Birth). ||
