Seeing the king's courtyard, which was muddy with the saliva and mad-water of the horses and elephants that had come as gifts to the king, and which looked as if it had been sprinkled with water, the messenger was very pleased. ||43|| Having been informed of the events by the chief gatekeepers, the messenger approached the great king Bahubali, who was seated on his throne. ||44|| He saw that the king's chest was as wide as the shore, he himself was tall, and his crown was as high as a peak, so he seemed like a unique mountain for the goddess of victory, Lakshmi, to play on. ||45|| Wearing a long and wide forehead-band, he seemed as if he were wearing the auspicious marriage-band of the goddess of victory. ||46|| He, the lord Bahubali, was wearing an arm-band like the rod of a balance, which had weighed the glory of all kings and was bearing the weight of the whole earth. ||47|| Although he had the beauty of a lotus in his face and the beauty of a blue lotus in his eyes, he had no birds of different species near him, nor was he himself a water body. ||48|| He was wearing a very vast (generous and wide) mind and chest, on which the goddesses Saraswati and Lakshmi constantly resided. ||49|| He was placing the protection of the people, the group of qualities, and the great fruits in his own body and in the minds of the great ones. ||50|| His shining ornaments seemed to be smearing all directions with the fire of his great prowess. ||51|| He was shining with a moonstone-like face, a ruby-like beautiful foot, and a vajra-like strong armor. ||52||
