Chapter Thirty-Five
177
As if a single pillar made of green gems, radiating green light, created by the Supreme Being to support the worlds. ||53||
Embracing all limbs, radiating brilliance, revered by the Kshatriyas, surely composed of atoms of pure energy. ||54||
Gazing from afar, like a blazing fire, the messenger was slightly shaken, his mind disturbed. ||55||
Bowing his head, he approached, placing his hands at the feet of the prince, and with due respect, the prince seated him not far away. ||56||
Seated on a suitable seat, the prince, the bearer of the king's message, spoke, his smile illuminating all. ||57||
"After a long time, the wheel-bearer has remembered us today. Blessed, blessed is the lord of the world, the wielder of the wheel, who is the object of many thoughts. ||58||
He who has not yet completed the task of conquering all the Kshatriyas, is the right arm of the lord of the earth, the king, well? ||59||
It is heard that all directions have been subdued by Bharata, and all kings have been conquered. Messenger, tell me, is there still any task left for him, or not? ||60||
Thus speaking, the prince, serene, radiant, concise, and with measured words, gave the messenger an opportunity to speak. ||61||
Then, the messenger, the bearer of the king's message, prepared to speak, his words pleasing, showing the unity of sound and meaning with the brilliance of his teeth. ||62||
"Your words, O lord, are like a mirror, in which the future course of action is clearly visible, for even a fool like me can see its meaning directly. ||63||
We are messengers, bearers of the king's message, slow in our consideration of merits and demerits, following the king's will. ||64||
