तपोमयः प्रणीतोऽग्निः कर्माण्याहतयोऽभवन् । विधिगास्ते सयज्वानो मन्त्रः स्वायम्भुवं वचः ॥२१५|| महाध्वर'पतिर्देवो वृषभो दक्षिणा दया। फलं कामितसंसिद्धिः अपवर्गः क्रियावधिः ॥२१६॥ 'इतीमामार्षभीमिष्टि म् अभिसन्धाय तेऽञ्जसा। प्रावीत ननूचानाः तपोयज्ञमन त्तरम् ॥२१७॥ इत्यमूमनगाराणां परां सङगीर्य० भावनाम् । ते तथा निर्वहन्ति स्म निसर्गोऽयं महीयसाम् ॥२१॥ किमत्र बहना धर्मक्रिया यावत्यविप्लुता । तां कृत्स्नां ते स्वसाच्चक्रः त्यक्तराजन्यविक्रियाः ॥२१६॥
वसन्ततिलकावृत्तम् इत्थं पुराणपुरुषादधिगम्य बोधि
तत्तीर्थमानससरःप्रियराजहंसाः । ये राज्यभूमिमवधूय३ विधूतमोहाः
प्रावाजिषुर्भरतराजगनन्तुकामाः ॥२२०॥) ते पौरवा५ मुनिवराः पुरुधैर्यसारा
धीरानगारचरितेषु कृतावधानाः । योगीश्वरानु"गतमार्गमन प्रपन्नाः
शं८ नो दिशन्त्वखिललोकहितैकतानाः२० ॥२२॥
जिसमें तपश्चरण ही संस्कार की हुई अग्नि थी, कर्म ही आहुति अर्थात् होम करने योग्य द्रव्य थे, विधिविधानको जाननेवाले वे मुनि ही होम करनेवाले थे। श्री जिनेन्द्रदेवके वचन ही मन्त्र थं, भगवान् वृषभदव ही यज्ञक स्वामी थ, दयाही दक्षिणा थी, इच्छित वस्तुको प्राप्ति होना हो फल था और मोक्षप्राप्त होना ही कार्यकी अन्तिम अवधि थी। इस प्रकार भगवान् ऋषभदेवके द्वारा कहे हुए यज्ञका संकल्प कर उन तपस्वियोंने तपरूपी श्रेष्ठ यज्ञकी प्रवृत्ति चलाई थी ।।२१५-२१७।। इस तरह वे मुनि, मुनियोंकी उत्कृष्ट भावनाकी प्रतिज्ञा कर उसका अच्छी तरह निर्वाह करते थे सो ठीक ही है क्योंकि महापुरुषोंका यह स्वभाव ही है ।।२१८।। इस विषयमें बहुत कहने से क्या लाभ है उन सब मुनियोंने राज्यअवस्थामें होनेवाले समस्त विकार भावोंको छोड़कर अनादि कालसे जितनी भी वास्तविक क्रियाएं चली आती थीं उन सबको अपने आधीन कर लिया था ।।२१९॥
इस प्रकार पुराण पुरुष-भगवान् आदिनाथसे रत्नत्रयकी प्राप्ति कर जो उनके तीर्थरूपी मानससरोवरके प्रिय राजहंस हुए थे, जिन्होंने राज्यभुमिका परित्याग कर सब प्रकार का मोह छोड़ दिया था, जो भरतराजको नमस्कार नहीं करनेकी इच्छासे ही दीक्षित हुए थे, उत्कृष्ट धैर्य ही जिनका बल था, जो धीरवीर मुनियोंके आचरण करने में सदा सावधान रहते थे, जो योगिराज भगवान् वृषभदेवके द्वारा अंगीकार किये हुए मार्गका पालन करते थे और जो

All those monks, having abandoned all the defilements of the worldly life, had taken control of all the real actions that had been going on since time immemorial. ||219||

Thus, those who, having obtained the three jewels from the ancient man, the Lord Adinath, became the beloved swans of the lake of their minds, which is the Tirtha, who, having abandoned the kingdom, had abandoned all kinds of delusion, who had become initiated with the desire not to bow down to the Bharata kings, who had great fortitude as their strength, who were always careful in the conduct of the great monks, who followed the path adopted by the Lord Vrishabha, the king of yogis, and who are dedicated to the welfare of all beings, may they grant us peace. ||220||
