आतुर. गा० ४५ यदि जिनवचनेऽनुरागो न स्यादतः किं स्यादतः प्राह
बालमरणाणि बहुसो बहुयाणि अकामयाणि मरणाणि ।
मरिहंति ते वराया जे जिणवयणं ण जाणंति ।।७३।। बालमरणाणि-बालानामतत्त्वरुचीनां मरणानि शरीरत्यागा बालमरणानि । बहुसो-बहुशः बहूनि बहुप्रकाराणि वा । बहुआणि-बहुकानि प्रचुराणि । अकामयाणि-अकामकृतानि अनभिप्रेतानि । मरणाणि-मृत्युन् । मरिहंति-मरिष्यन्ति मृत्यु प्राप्स्यन्तीत्यर्थः । ते वराया-त एवंभूता वराका अनाथाः । जे जिणवयणं-ये जिनवचनं सर्वज्ञागमम् । ण जाणंति-न जानन्ति नावबुध्यन्ते । ये जिनवचनं न जानन्ति ते वराका बालमरणानि बहुप्रकाराणि अकामकृतानि च बहूनि मरणानि प्राप्स्यन्तीति । आतुर. गा० ४६ अथ कानि तानि बालमरणानीत्यत आह
सत्थग्गहणं विसभक्खणं च जलणं जलप्पवेसो य ।
अणयारभंडसेवी जम्मणमरणाणुबंधीणि ।।७४ ।। सत्थग्गहणं-शस्त्रेणात्मनो ग्रहणं मारणं शस्त्रग्रहणम् । शस्त्रग्रहणादुत्पन्नं मरणमपि शस्त्रग्रहणं कार्ये कारणोपचारात् । विसभक्खणं-विषस्य मारणात्मकद्रव्यस्य भक्षणमुपयुंजनं विषभक्षणं तथैव सम्बन्धः कर्तव्यः । च-समुच्चयार्थः । जलणं-ज्वलनादग्नेरुत्पन्नं ज्वलनम् । जलप्पवेसो य-जले पानीये प्रवेशो निमज्जनं निरुच्छ्वासं जलप्रवेशश्च तस्माज्जातं स एव वा मरणम् । अणयारभण्डसेवी-अनाचारभाण्डसेवी न आचारोऽनाचारः पापक्रिया स एव भाण्डं द्रव्यं तत्सेवत इत्यनाचारभाण्डसेवी मरणेन सम्बन्धः । अथवा पुरुषेण सम्बन्धः अनाचारभाण्डसेवी तस्य । जम्मणमरणाणुबंधीणि-जन्म उत्पत्तिः, मरणं मृत्युस्तयोरनुबन्धः सन्तानः स येषां विद्यते तानि जन्ममरणानुबन्धीनि संसारकारणानीत्यर्थः । एतानि मरणानि जन्ममरणानुबन्धीनि अनाचारभाण्डसेवीनि यतोऽतो बालमरणानीति । अथवा अनाचारसेवीनि एतानि मरणानि संसारकारणानीति न सदाचारस्य ।
