आतुरप्रत्याख्यानप्रकीर्णकम
उड्डमहे तिरियम्मि वि मयाणि जीवेण बालमरणाणि ।
दसण-नाणसहगओ पंडियमरणं अणुमरिस्सं ।।४७।। बाला० ते मरण काहइ ठामि मरइ ते कहइ छइ । उर्द्धलोक भूतथी नवसई योजन उपरांत लोकन्त लगइ, अधोलौकिक ग्रामनइ विषइ भवनपतिनइं विषई सात पृथ्वीनइं विषइं । तिर्यग्लोक १८०० योजन प्रमाण ए स्थानकनई विषइ । मयाणि क० अनुभव्यां जीवइ बालमरण ते माटइ हवइ पंडितइ सूं करवू ते कहिइ छइ । दसणं ते अनशन कर्ता बालमरणनो विपाकनो जाण चीतवइ छि हवइ हुं ज्ञानदर्शनइं करी सहित छतो पंडित मरण विवेक मरण मरीस करीस इति गाथा ।।४७।।
અર્થ : ઉપરોક્ત બાલમરણ જીવોએ ઊર્ધ્વલોકમાં, અધોલોકમાં અને તિરછાલોકમાં અનેકવાર મેળવ્યાં છે. તેથી દર્શનશાનથી યુક્ત એવો હું પંડિત મરણને મેળવીશ. (૪૭)
उव्वेयणयं जाई मरणं नरएसु वेयणाओ य ।
एयाणि संभरंतो पंडियमरणं मरसु इण्हिं ।।४८।। बाला० हवइ गुरु ते क्षपकनइं दुगतिनो भय देखाडवा उपदेश देइ छइ । गाथा-उव्वेव० हे वत्स ! विराधित व्रत यतीनइं भय कारक जाति जन्म अनइं मरण होइ तथा विराधकनइं नरकनइं विषइ वेदना छेदन भेदन शाल्मलीवृक्ष शिषरारोपण तप्तलोहपुत्रिकासमालिंगनादि रूप होइ । ते माटइ एतलां वानां संभारतो पंडित मरण मरइ हवडां इति गाथार्थः ।।४८।।
અર્થઃ જન્મ અને મરણ ઉદ્વેગને કરાવનારા છે, નરકમાં માત્ર વેદના જ પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે. આ વાતને વિચારતો તે પંડિતમરણથી હમણાં મૃત્યુને પામ. (૪૮)
जइ उप्पज्जई दुक्खं तो दब्बो सहावओ नवरं ।
किं किं मे न पत्तं संसारं संसरंतेणं ।।४९।। बाला० हवइ क्षपक गुरुनो उपदेश सांभलीनइ कदाचि वेदना उपनइ पणि इम चीतवइ ते कहइ छइ। गाथा- जइ उपजे० जउ उपजइ दुःख कष्ट तउ ते कष्ट स्वभाविक जाणवू । पणि आत्मा थकी अनेरउ कोइ करन्हारो नथी आत्मा ज एहनो कर्ता एहवं चींतवइ । अहींइ नवर शब्द पुनशब्दनिं अर्थई जाणवो ए किस्युं दुःख स्तोक मात्र छइ । आगई मई संसारनई विषइं भमतई किस्युं किस्युं दुःख न पाम्युं अने ते दुःख अकाम निजराइं सह्या हवडा अनंतगुण निर्जरालाभनूं हेतु छइ । एहवू जाणी सम्यग् पसह इति गाथा ।।४९।।
અર્થ : જો મૃત્યકાલે દુઃખ ઉત્પન્ન થાય છે તો ક્ષપકે વિચારવું કે આ દુઃખ તો સ્વભાવથી જ આવે છે. મારા સિવાય બીજું કોઈ આ દુઃખમાં કારણ નથી. આ સંસારમાં પરિભ્રમણ કરતા મેં આજ સુધીમાં કયા દુઃખો પ્રાપ્ત નથી કર્યા. (૪૯).
