प्रेयोवियोजनाद्वैराद्दाक्षिण्याद्देवरस्य च । तत्प्रतिज्ञाय सा सद्योऽप्युपकोशां समादिशत् ।।९१।। कोशायाश्च निदेशेनोपकोशा तं तथाभ्यधात् । यथा पपौ सुरामेष स्त्रीवशैः क्रियते न किम् ? ।।१२।। सुरापानं वररुचिः स्वैरं भट्टोऽद्य कारित; उपकोशेति कोशायै शशंसाथ निशात्यये ।।९३।। अथ कोशामुखात्सर्वं शुश्राव श्रीयकोऽपि तत् । मेने च पितृवैरस्य विहितं प्रतियातनम् ।।९४ ।। शकाटालमहामात्यात्ययात्प्रभृति सोऽप्यभूत् । भट्टो वररुचिर्भूपसेवावसरतत्परः ।।९५ ।। स प्रत्यहं राजकुले सेवाकाले समापतन् । राज्ञा च राजलोकैश्च सगौरवमदृश्यत ।।९६।। अन्यदा नन्दराड्मन्त्रिगुणस्मरणविह्वलः । सदसि श्रीयकामात्यं जगादेवं सगद्गदम् ।।९७ ।। भक्तिमाशक्तिमान्नित्यं शकटालो महामतिः । अभवन्मे महामात्यः शक्रस्येव बृहस्पतिः ।।९८ ।। एवमेव विपन्नोऽसौ दैवादद्य करोमि किम् ? । मन्ये शून्यमिवास्थानमहं तेन विनात्मनः ।।९९।। उवाच श्रीयकोऽप्येवं किं देवेह विदध्महे । इदं वररुचिः सर्वं पापं व्यधित मद्यपः ।।१००।। सत्यमेष सुरां भट्टः पिबतीति नृपोदिते । श्वोऽमुं दर्शयितास्मीति श्रीयकः प्रत्यभाषत ।।१०१ ।। श्रीयकश्च द्वितीयेऽह्नि सर्वेषामीयुषां सदः । स्वपुंसा शिक्षितेनाग्यं पद्ममेकैकमार्पयत् ।।१०२।। तत्कालं मदनफलरसभावनयाञ्चितम् । दुरात्मनो वररुचेरर्पयामास पङ्कजम् ।।१०३।। कुतस्त्यमद्भुतामोदमिदमित्यभिवर्णिनः । घातुं राजादयो निन्युर्नासाग्रे स्वं स्वमम्बुजम् ।।१०४ ।। सोऽपि भट्टोऽनयद् घ्रातुं घ्राणाग्रे पङ्कजं निजम् । चन्द्रहाससुरां सद्यो रात्रिपीतां ततोऽवमत् ।।१०५ ।। धिगमुं शीधुपं ब्रह्मबन्धु बन्धवधोचितम् । सर्वैरित्याक्रुश्यमानो निर्ययौ सदसोऽथ सः ।।१०६ ।। ब्राह्मणा याचितास्तेन प्रायश्चित्तमचीकथन् । तापितत्रपुणः पानं सुरापानाघघातकम् ।।१०७ ।।
मूषया तापितमथ पपौ वररुचिस्त्रपु । प्राणैश्च मुमुचे सद्यस्तत्प्रदाहभयादिव ।।१०८ ।। ४७. आत्मप्रशंसाध्याने श्रीपरिशिष्टपर्वोक्तं कोशारथिकयोः कथानकम् । राज्ञा प्रदत्ता कोशापि तुष्टेन रथिनेऽन्यदा । राजायत्तेति शिश्राय विना रागेण सा तु तम् ।।१।। स्थूलभद्रं विना नान्यः पुमान्कोऽपीत्यहनिशम् । सा तस्य रथिनोऽभ्यणे वर्णयामास वर्णिनी ।।२।। रथी गत्वा गृहोद्याने पर्यङ्के च निषद्य सः । तन्मनोरञ्जनायेति स्वविज्ञानमदर्शयत् ।।३।। माकन्दलुम्बी बाणेन विव्याध तमपीषुणा । पुढेऽन्येन तमप्यन्येनेत्याहस्तं शराल्यभूत् ।।४।। वृन्तं छित्वा क्षुरप्रेण बाणश्रेणिमुखस्थिताम् । लुम्बी स्वपाणिनाकृष्यासीनस्तस्यै समार्पयत् ।।५।।
