विणएणं भज्जो भुज्जो खामेमि, एवं संपेहेति, २ त्ता ण्हाए चाउरंगिणीए सेणाए जेणेव पमयवणे उज्जाणे जेणेव तेतलिपुत्ते अणगारे तेणेव उवागच्छति, २ तेतलिपुत्तं अणगारं वंदति नमंसति, एयमटुं च णं विणएणं भुज्जो भुज्जो खामेति, नच्चासन्ने जाव पज्जुवासति । तते णं से तेयलिपुत्ते अणगारे कणगज्झयस्स रन्नो तीसे य महइ [महालियाए परिसाए] धम्म परिकहेइ । तते णं से कणगज्झए राया तेतलिपुत्तस्स केवलिस्स अंतिए धम्मं सोचा णिसम्म पंचाणुव्वइयं सत्तसिक्खावइयं सावगधम्म पडिवज्जइ, २ समणोवासए जाते अहिगयजीवाजीवे० । तते णं तेतलिपुत्ते केवली बहूणि वासाणि केवलिपरियागं पाउणित्ता जाव सिद्धे । १५. काङ्क्षाध्याने श्रीउपदेशप्रासादग्रथितं मरीचेः कथानकम् ।
श्रीभरतचक्रिपुत्रो मरीचिकुमारः एकदा चक्रिणा सार्धं श्रीयुगादिजिनं समवसृतं वन्दितुमगात् । तत्र श्रीस्याद्वादधर्म श्रीमारुदेवमुखात् श्रुत्वा प्रतिबुध्य व्रतमाददे । स्थविराणां पुरोङ्गानि एकादशाऽपि अपठत् । स्वामिना सार्धं चिरं व्यहरत् । अन्यदा ग्रीष्मतापपीडितश्चारित्रावरणकर्मोदयादिति दध्यौ, यतः श्रीवीरचरित्रे हैमे
न श्रामाण्यगुणान्मेरुसमभारान् दुरुद्वहान् । निर्गुणोऽहं भवाकाङ्क्षी, वोढुं प्रभुरतः परम् ।।१।। किं त्यजामि व्रतं लोके, तत्त्यागे लज्ज्यते खलु । लब्धो वाऽयं मयोपायो, व्रतं येन क्लमो न च ।।२।। • श्रमणा भगवन्तोऽमी, त्रिदण्डविरताः सदा । अस्तु दण्डैर्निर्जितस्य, त्रिदण्डी मम लाच्छनम् ।।३।।
केशलोचादमी मुण्डाः, क्षुरमुण्डः शिखी त्वहम् । महाव्रतधराश्चामी, स्यामणुव्रतभृत्त्वहम् ।।४।। निष्किञ्चना मुनयोऽमी, भूयान्मे मुद्रिकादि तु । अमी विमोहा मोहेन, छन्नस्य छत्रमस्तु मे ।।५।। उपानद्रहिताश्चामी, संचरन्ति महर्षयः । पादत्राणनिमित्तं मे, भवतामप्युपानहौ ।।६।। सुगन्धयोऽमी शीलेन, दुर्गन्ध शीलतस्त्वहम् । सौगन्ध्यहेतोर्भवतु, श्रीखण्डतिलकादि मे ।।७।। अमी शुक्लजरद्वस्त्रा, निष्कषाया महर्षयः । भवन्तु मे तु वासांसि, काषायाणि कषायिणः ।।८।। त्यजन्त्यमी जलारम्भं, बहुजीवोपमर्दकम् । स्नानं पानं च पयसा, मितेन भवताच्च मे ।।९।। एवं विकल्प्य स्वधिया, लिङ्गनिर्वाहहेतवे । पारिव्राज्यं प्रत्यपादि, मरीचिः क्लेशकातरः ।।१०।। तादृग्वेषं च तं दृष्ट्वा-ऽपृच्छद्धर्मं जनोऽखिलः । साधुधर्मं समाचख्यौ सोऽपि तेषां जिनोदितम् ।।११।।
