The first two ślokas which are found in the Pramāṇasiddhi are here found in the beginning of Svārthānumāna Chapter (the ist chapter) of the text.
MSS. The present text of the commentary is edited with the help of one paper manuscript which was discovered2 by me in the monastery of Șha-lu— July, 1936. There are 10s leaves of the size of 261" X 2", each page containing 7 lines. There were 16 paper leaves more of the size of 12" X 2", each page containing 7 to 9 lines which are placed as an appendix to this volume. The script is kuțilā.3
Except for a few instances the MS. is mostly correct. Throughout the MS. no difference is made between a and a. The copyist has made mistakes in writing सलिल as शलिल four times ; विषाण as विशाण four times; विशद as विषद twice; पर्येषितव्य as पर्येशितव्य;Falang as Taric, faoy many as fafqat; air as a4. Most of these mistakes are of 7, RT, , which were natural for a mani living in the Māgadhi area. There are a few more mistakes34 = 9H
