The above mistakes have been shown in the edited text within brackets. In the MS. no care is taken for punctuation. In the footnotes Dignāga is often shortened into Nāga, Pramāṇasamuccaya to Samuccaya.
Editing—The kārikās were not found in the MSS. which I have supplied from the P.V. text, which I have already edited in a previous volume. In selecting from various readings of the Kārikās I have preferred the readings given in this commentary. Sometimes I have pat my own full stops, but those have been placed within brackets.
