योगशास्त्र पंचम प्रकाश श्लोक २४० से २५८ अग्निमंडल में प्रश्न करने पर पुत्री का जन्म होता है और सुषुम्णानाड़ी में प्रश्न करे तो गर्भ का नाश होता है ।। २३९ ।। तथा

।७०२। गृहे राजकुलादौ च प्रवेशे निर्गमेऽथवा । पूर्णाङ्गपादं पुरतः कुर्वतः स्यादभीप्सितम् ।।२४०|| या राजकुल आदि में प्रवेश करते या बाहर निकलते समय जिस ओर की नासिका के छिद्र से वायु चलता हो; उस तरफ के पैर को प्रथम आगे रखकर चलने से इष्ट कार्य की सिद्धि होती है ।। २४० ॥

||७०४ । आसने शयने वाऽपि, पूर्णाङ्गे विनिवेशिताः । वशीभवन्ति कामिन्यो, न कार्मणमतः परम् ॥२४२॥
अर्थ :- आसन (बैठने) और शयन (सोने) के समय में भी जिस ओर की नासिका से पवन चलता हो, उसी ओर स्त्रियों को बिठाने पर वे वश में होती है। इसके अतिरिक्त और कोई कामण-जादू-टोना नहीं है ।। २४२ ।। ||७०५ । अरि- चौराऽधमर्णाद्याः, अन्येऽप्युत्पात - विग्रहाः । कर्तव्याः खलु रिक्तांगे, जय-लाभ - सुखार्थिभिः॥२४३॥ :- जो विजय, लाभ और सुख के अभिलाषी है, उन्हें चाहिए कि वे शत्रु, चोर, कर्जदार तथा अन्य उपद्रव, विग्रह आदि से दुःख पहुंचाने वालों को अपने रिक्तांग की ओर अर्थात् जिस ओर की नासिकां से पवन न चले, उसी तरफ बिठाएँ। ऐसा करने से वे दुःख नहीं दे सकते ।। २४३ ।। तथा

।७०६। प्रतिपक्ष - प्रहारेभ्यः पूर्णाङ्गे योऽभिरक्षति । न तस्य रिपुभिः शक्तिः, बलिष्ठैरपि हन्यते ॥ २४४॥ शत्रुओं के प्रहारों से जो अपने पूर्णांग (पूरक वायु वाले अंग) से रक्षा करता है, उसकी शक्ति का विनाश करने में बलवान शत्रु भी समर्थ नहीं हो सकता ।। २४३ ।। तथा

||७०७ । वहन्तीं नासिकां वामां, दक्षिणां वाऽभिसंस्थितः । पृच्छेद् यदि तदा पुत्रो, रिक्तायां तु सुता भवेत् ॥ २४५॥ ||७०८ । सुषुम्णा - वायु भागे द्वौ, शिशू, रिक्ते नपुंसकम् । सङ्क्रान्तौ गर्भहानिः स्यात्, समे क्षेममसंशयम् ॥ २४६॥
अर्थ :- उत्तरदाता की बांई या दाहिनी नासिका चल रही हो, उस समय सम्मुख खड़ा होकर गर्भ-संबंधी प्रश्न करे तो पुत्र होगा और वह रिक्त नासिका की ओर खड़ा होकर प्रश्न करे तो पुत्री का जन्म होगा, ऐसा कहना चाहिए। यदि प्रश्न करते समय सुषुम्णानाड़ी में पवन चलता हो तो दो बालकों का जन्म होगा, शून्य आकाशमंडल में पवन चले, तब प्रश्न करे तो नपुंसक का जन्म होगा। दूसरी नाड़ी में संक्रमण करते समय प्रश्न करे तो गर्भ का नाश होता है और संपूर्ण तत्त्व का उदय होने पर प्रश्न करे तो निःसंदेह क्षेमकुशल होता है ।। २४५ - २४६ ।।

। ७०९ चन्द्रे स्त्री: पुरुष सूर्ये, मध्यभागे नपुंसकम् । प्रश्नकाले तु विज्ञेयमिति कैश्चित् निगद्यते ॥ २४७॥ अर्थ :- कई आचार्यों का कहना है कि चंद्रस्वर चले तब सन्मुख रहकर प्रश्न करे तो पुत्री, सूर्यस्वर में पुत्र और सुषुम्णानाड़ी में नपुंसक का जन्म होता है ।। २४७ ||
वायु के निश्चय का उपाय बताते हैं
।७१०। यदा न ज्ञायते सम्यक्, पवनः सञ्चरन्नपि । पीतश्वेतारुणश्यामैर्निश्चेतव्यः स बिन्दुभिः || २४८|| अर्थ :- यदि एक मंडल से दूसरे मंडल में जाता हुआ पुरंदरादि पवन जब भलीभांति ज्ञात न हो, तब पीले, श्वेत, लाल और काले बिन्दुओं से उसका निश्चय करना चाहिए || २४८ ।।
