अपने अंगोपांगों से मृत्यु ज्ञान
योगशास्त्र पंचम प्रकाश श्लोक १६४ से १७६ निकालते समय गर्म प्रतीत हो, स्मरणशक्ति लुप्त हो जाये, चलने फिरने की शक्ति खत्म हो जाये, शरीर के पांचों अंग ठंडे पड़ जाये तो उसकी मृत्यु दस दिन में होती है ।। १६३ ।। तथा
| | ६२६ । अर्धोष्णमर्धशीतं च शरीरं जायते यदा । ज्वाला कस्माज्ज्वलेवाङ्गे, सप्ताहेन तदा मृतिः।।१६४।। यदि किसी का आधा शरीर उष्ण और आधा ठंडा हो जाये और अकस्मात् ही शरीर में ज्वालाएं जलने लगें तो उसकी एक सप्ताह में मृत्यु होती है ।। १६४ ।। तथा

।६२८। जायते दन्तघर्षश्चेत्, शवगन्धश्च दुःसहः । विकृता भवति च्छाया, त्र्यहेन म्रियते तदा ॥१६६॥ जो मनुष्य दांतों को कटाकट पीसता - घिसता रहे, जिसके शरीर में से मुर्दे के समान दुर्गन्ध निकलती रहे या जिसके शरीर का रंग बार-बार बदलता रहे, या जिसकी छाया बिगड़ती रहे उसकी तीन दिन में मृत्यु होती है ।। १६६ ।।
||६२९ । न स्वनासां स्वजिह्वां न, न ग्रहान् नामला दिशः । नापि सप्तऋषीन् यर्हि, पश्यति म्रियते तदा ॥ १६७॥
अर्थ :- जो मनुष्य अपनी नाक को, अपनी जीभ को, आकाश में ग्रहों को, नक्षत्र को, तारों को, निर्मल दिशाओं को, सप्तर्षि ताराश्रेणि को नहीं देखता; वह दो दिन में मर जाता है ।।१६७ ।।

।६३० । प्रभाते यदि वा सायं, ज्योत्स्नावत्यामथो निशि । प्रवितत्य निजौ बाहू, निजच्छायां विलोक्य च ॥ १६८॥ | | ६३१ । शनैरुत्क्षिप्य नेत्रे स्वच्छायां पश्येत ततोऽम्बरे । न शिरो दृश्यते तस्यां यदा स्यान्मरणं तदा ॥१६९।। ||६३२ | नेक्ष्यते वामबाहुश्चेत्, पुत्रदारक्षयस्तदा । यदि दक्षिणबाहुर्नेक्ष्यते भ्रातृक्षयस्तदा ॥१७०॥ | | ६३३ | अदृष्टे हृदये मृत्युः उदरे च धनक्षयः । ह्ये पितृविनाशस्तु व्याधिरूरुयुगे भवेत् ॥ १७१ ॥ ||६३४ | अदर्शने पादयोश्च विदेशगमनं भवेत् । अदृश्यमाने सर्वाङ्गे, सद्यो मरणमादिशेत् ॥१७२ ।। कोई मनुष्य प्रातःकाल या सांयकाल अथवा शुक्लपक्ष की रात्रि में प्रकाश में खड़ा होकर अपने दोनों हाथ कायोत्सर्गमुद्रा की तरह नीचे लटकाकर कुछ समय तक अपनी छाया देखता रहे, उसके बाद नेत्रों को धीरे-धीरे छाया से हटाकर ऊपर आकाश में देखने पर उसे पुरुष की आकृति दिखायी देगी। यदि उस आकृति में उसे अपना मस्तक न दिखायी दे तो समझ लेना कि मेरी मृत्यु होने वाली है, यदि उसे अपनी बांई भुजा न दिखाई दे तो पुत्र या स्त्री की मृत्यु होती है और दाहिनी भुजा न दिखायी दे तो भाई की मृत्यु होती है। यदि अपना हृदय न दिखायी दे तो अपनी मृत्यु होती है; और पेट न दिखायी दे तो उसके धन का नाश होता है। यदि अपना गुह्यस्थान न दिखायी दे तो अपने पिता आदि पूज्यजन की मृत्यु होती है और दोनों जांघे नहीं दिखायी दे तो शरीर में व्याधि उत्पन्न होती है। यदि पैर न दीखे तो उसे विदेशयात्रा करनी पड़ती है और अपना संपूर्ण शरीर दिखायी न दे तो उसकी शीघ्र ही मृत्यु होती है ।। १६८ - १७२ ।।

||६३५ । विद्यया दर्पणाङ्गुष्ठ - कुड्यासि (दि) ष्ववतारिता । विधिना देवता पृष्टा, ब्रूते कालस्य निर्णयम् ॥१७३॥ ||६३६ । सूर्येन्दुग्रहणे विद्यौ, नरवीरे ! ठ ठेत्यसौ । साध्या दशसहस्त्रयाऽष्टोत्तरया जपकर्मतः ॥१७४।। ||६३७ । अष्टोत्तरसहस्त्रस्य, जपात् कार्यक्षणे पुनः । देवता लीयतेऽस्यादौ, ततः कन्याऽऽह निर्णयम् ॥१७५॥ ||६३८ | सत्साधकगुणाकृष्टा, स्वयमेवाथ देवता । त्रिकाल - विषयं ब्रूते, निर्णयं गतसंशयम् ॥१७६॥

After chanting ten thousand and eight times, the deity will merge into the devotee, and then the devotee's daughter will reveal the time of death. The deity, attracted by the good qualities of the devotee, will reveal the time of death in all three times (past, present, and future) without any doubt.
