मधुमक्षिका द्वारा उच्छिष्ट, हिंसा से उत्पन्न मधु भी त्याज्य है
योगशास्त्र तृतीय प्रकाश श्लोक ३४ से ३७ है, न उसके जैसा कोई महापापी है, जो पशु का मांस खाता है। नर के वीर्य से और मादा के रुधिर (रज) से उत्पन्न, विष्ठा के रस से संवर्धित, जमे हुए रक्तयुक्त मांस को कृमि के सिवाय और कौन खा सकता है। आश्चर्य है, द्विज ब्राह्मण शौचमूलक धर्म बताते हैं, फिर भी वे अधर्ममूलक, सप्त धातुओं से उत्पन्न, (गंदे) मांस को खाते हैं। जो घास खाने वाले पशुओं के मांस और अन्न को एक सरीखा मानते हैं, उनके लिए मृत्यु देने वाला विष और जीवनदायी अमृत दोनों बराबर हैं। जो जड़ात्मा अज्ञानी यह मानते हैं कि जैसे चावल भी एकेन्द्रिय जीव का अंग है, वैसे ही मांस भी जीव का अंग है, इसलिए सत्पुरुषों को चावल की तरह मांस खा लेना चाहिए, तो फिर वे जड़बुद्धि अज्ञ, गाय से उत्पन्न हुए दूध के समान गाय के मत्र को क्यों नहीं पीते? चावल आदि में प्राणियों के अंग के समान मांस. रक्त चर्बी आदि अभक्ष्य पदार्थ नहीं हैं, जब कि मांस में ये सब अभक्ष्य पदार्थ है। इसलिए ओदन आदि भक्ष्य है, जब कि मांसादि अभक्ष्य है। जैसे पवित्र शंख और जीव के अंग की हड्डी आदि एक समान नहीं माने जाते, वैसे ही ओदनादि अभक्ष्य नहीं माने जाते। जो पापी अंग अंग सभी समान है, यह कहकर मांस और ओदन को समान मानता है, वह स्त्री स्त्री सभी समान है, | ऐसा मानकर अपनी माता और पत्नी में समान व्यवहार की कल्पना क्यों नहीं करता? एक भी पंचेन्द्रिय जीव का वध करने से या उसका मांसभक्षण करने से जैसे नरकगति बतायी है, वैसे अनाज आदि (एकेन्द्रिय) के भोजन करने वाले को नरकगति नहीं बतायी है। रस और रक्त को विकृत करने वाला मांस अन्न नहीं हो सकता। इसलिए मांस नहीं खाने वाला अन्नभोजी पापी नहीं हो सकता। अन्न पकाने में एकेन्द्रिय जीव का ही वध होता है, जो देशविरतिश्रावक के व्रत में इतना बाधक नहीं है। मांसाहारी की गति का विचार करते हुए अन्नाहार में संतोष मानने वाले उच्च जैनशासन प्रेमी गृहस्थ भी उच्चकोटि की दिव्य संपत्तियाँ प्राप्त करते हैं ।।३३।।
अब प्रसंगवश नवनीत (मक्खन) भक्षण में दोष बताते हैं।२०५। अन्तर्मुहूर्तात् परतः सुसूक्ष्माजन्तुराशयः । यत्र मूर्च्छन्ति तन्नाद्यं, नवनीतं विवेकिभिः ॥३४॥ · अर्थ :- जिसमें अंतमुहूर्त के बाद अतिसूक्ष्म जन्तुसमूह समूर्छिम रूप से उत्पन्न होता है, वह मक्खन विवेकी
पुरुषों को नहीं खाना चाहिए ।।३४।। इसी बात पर विचार करते हैं।२०६। एकस्यापि हि जीवस्य, हिंसने किमघं भवेत् । जन्तुजातमयं तत्को, नवनीतं निषेवते? ॥३५।। अर्थ :- एक भी जीव का वध करने में कितना अधिक पाप लगता है? उसे कहना दुःशक्य है, तो फिर अनेक
जंतुओं के पिंडमय नवनीत का सेवन कौन विवेकी कर सकता है? ॥३५।। अब क्रमशः मधु-सेवन में दोष बताते हैं||२०७। अनेकजन्तुसङ्घात निघातनसमुद्भवम् । जुगुप्सनीयं लालावत् कः स्वादयति माक्षिकम्? ॥३६॥ अर्थ :- अनेक जंतु-समूह के विनाश से तैयार हुए और मुंह से टपकने वाली लार के समान घिनौने मक्खी के
मुख की लार से बने हुए शहद को कौन विवेकी पुरुष चाटेगा? उपलक्षण से यहां भौरे आदि का मधु
भी समझ लेना चाहिए ॥३६॥ अब मधु-भक्षक को निंदनीय बताते हैं।२०८। भक्षयन् माक्षिकं क्षुद्रजन्तुलक्षक्षयोद्भवम् । स्तोकजन्तुनिहन्तृभ्यः शौनिकेभ्योऽतिरिच्यते ॥३७॥ ___ अर्थ :- जिनके हड्डियों न हों, ऐसे जीव क्षुद्रजंतु कहलाते हैं अथवा तुच्छ हीन जीव भी क्षुद्र माने जाते हैं। ऐसे
