यद्यद् दृष्टं तत्तत्-जाइटिआ. (17) यदि रज्यसे यद्यद् दृष्टं तस्मिन् हृदय मुग्धस्वभाव।
___ लोहेन स्फुटता यथा घनः ( = तापः ) सहिष्यते तावत् ॥ "If O foolish heart, you feel affection for whatever you see, you will have to bear torments as iron bears the hammer (घन ) while it is being beaten."
- 423. हुहुरु and घुग्घ etc. are देशी words imitating the sound and action. . हुहुरु=शब्दानुकरण. (1) मया ज्ञातं मंक्ष्यामि अहं प्रेमहदे हुहुरुशब्दं कृत्वा ।
केवलं अचिन्तिता संपतिता विप्रियनौः झटिति ॥ “I thqught I would be drowned in the pond of love with a go sound; but all of a sudden came to me the boat - the painful news ( of separation ).” (2) खाद्यते न कसरत्कशब्दं कृत्वा, पीयते न घट्शब्दं कृत्वा ।
एवमपि भवति सुखासिका प्रिये दृष्टे नयनाभ्याम् ॥ “When the lover is seen with eyes, one (the beloved) is not devoured nor is one drunk with a gulp; and yet there is pleasure and happiness." कसरक्केहिं in the verse is a puzzle. We do not know what sound is represented by • this word. कसरत्कशद्धं कुर्वाणा भक्षयन्ति is the explanation found in one Com. त्रिविक्रम renders the word as कटाक्ष, and though it would make good sense it cannot be a word to denote शब्दानुकरण. घट is a sound which one makes in drinking quickly. Compare घुटकन् पिणे, घुटघुट, घटघटां प्याला in Marathi. - घुग्घ-चेष्टानुकरण.
(3) अद्यापि नाथः ममैव गृहे सिद्धार्थान् वदन्ते । .. तावदेव विरहः गवाक्षेषु मर्कटचेष्टां ददाति ॥
"My husband is still in the house saluting the holy images of Jinas ( has not yet gone out on a journey ). and still separation acts like monkey (peops inside like a monkey ) through the windows." (4) शिरसि जराखण्डिता लोमपुटी ( कम्बलं ) गले मणयः न विंशतिः ।।
. तथापि गोष्ठस्थाः कारिताः मुग्धया उत्थानोपवेशनम् ॥
