सुष्ठु—सुस्थु; भट्ट:--भस्थे; भट्टिनी - भस्थिणी. - (10) स्थू and Á are changed to स्त्— उपस्थितः - उपस्तिदे; अर्थः-अस्ते.
are changed to हगे.

Now begins consideration of the Pais'âchi dialect.
The striking points of the dialect as distinguished from the Prakrita are as under:
(1) णू and नू are changed to नू. The teaching of thc change of to means that it is not changed to as in the Prâkxita - रामेन.
(2) The Abl. termination after words ending in अ is changed to and at and the preceding vowel lengthenedरामातु - रामातो.
तु
( 3 ) न्य, ण्य, and ज्ञ are changed to न्ञ.
धन्यः -- धन्ञो; गण्यः -- गन्ञोः प्राज्ञः - पन्ञो; कन्यका - कन्ञआ; अभिमन्युः—अहिमज्ञ; पुण्यम् - पुञ; संज्ञा - सन्ञा.
(4) तू and द् are changed to तू ( तू is not changed to दू ) -
