80 – स्मरकट्रो
तृतीयः - तइज्जो ( 'ऋतोत्' p. 30 ) -- तइओ ( ' गभीरंग इत्' P. 63 ) । द्वितीयः - बिइज्जो — बीओ-दुइज्जो - दुइओ ( प्राकृ० सर्व० p. 13 ) । करणीयम् - करणिज्जं - करणीअं । विस्मयनीयम् - विम्हअणिज्जं -- विम्हअणीअं ('इमष्मस्मझामस्मररश्मी म्ह:' p. 42 ) | यापनीयम् — जावणिज्जं -जावणीअं ( Hema. gives जवणिज्जं - जवणीअं ) । उत्तरीयम् - उत्तरिज्जं -- उत्तरीअं । पेया - पेज्जा - पेआ । मेयम् -- मेज्जं —मेअं ।
इन्मयटि ॥ १ । ३ । ६९ ।। p. 81–
य of the affix मय is optionally changed to इ-
विषमय :- विसमइओ - विसमओ ।

In कतिपय, यू is changed to व् and हू ह्, the preceding vowel is lengthenedकतिपयः -- कइवओ-कइवाहो ।
अर्थपरे तो युष्मद ॥ १ । ३ । ७३ ॥ p. 81—
य् of युष्मद्, when not used as a word, is changed to तूयुष्मदीयः -- तुम्हरो ('केर इदमर्थे' p. 158, and 'इमष्मस्मझामस्मररश्मौ म्ह:' p. 42 ) ।

and when it is changed
But युष्मदस्मत्प्रकरणम् = जुम्हअम्हप्पअरणं. Here युष्मद् is used as the word युष्मद्.
आदेर्जः ॥ १ । ३ । ७४ ।। p. 81 --
The initial यू is changed to जू
यमः - जमो । युवतिः - जुअई । याति - जाई । यशः - जसो |
But अवयवः - अवयवो ( because शू is not initial ).
In some cases, when a preposition is prefixed, is changed to जू, though it is not initial - संयमः -संजमो । संयोगःसंजोगो । अपयशः-अवजसो | But प्रयोगः -पओओ ।
