पद्मपुराणे चकार विदितार्थ च मित्रं तेन च भाषितः । साधु ते विदितं बुद्धया मयाप्येतनिरूपितम् ॥२१॥ निवृत्तं दयितं श्रुत्वा कन्यायाः संमदोऽभवत् । निरन्तरसमुद्भिन्नरोमाञ्चाशेषविग्रहः ॥२१९॥ ततः समयमासाद्य तयोर्ववाहमङ्गलम् । प्रस्तुतं बन्धुभिः कर्तुं प्राप्तसर्वसमीहितम् ॥२२०॥ अशोकालवस्पर्शः कन्यायाः स करोऽभवत् । विरक्तचेतसस्तस्य कृशानुरशनोपमः ॥२२१॥ अनिच्छतो गता दृष्टिः कथंचित्तस्य तत्तनौ । क्षणमात्रमपि स्थातुं न सेहे तुल्य विद्युति ॥२२२॥ एष भान वेत्तास्या इति विज्ञाय पावकः । स्फुटल्लाजसमूहेन जहासैव कृतस्वनम् ॥२२३॥ ततो विधानयोगेन कृत्वोपयमनं तयोः । परमं प्रमुदं प्राप्ताः सशब्दाः सर्वबान्धवाः ॥२२४॥ नानाद्रुमलताकीर्ण फलपुष्पविराजिते । मासं तत्र वने कृत्वा विभूत्या परमोत्सवम् ॥२२५॥ यथोचितं कृतालापाः कृतपूजाः परस्परम् । यथास्वं ते ययुः सर्वे वियोगाद् दुःखिताः क्षणम् ॥२२६॥
आर्याच्छन्दः अविदिततत्त्वस्थितयो विदधति यजन्तवः परेऽशर्म ।
तत्तत्र मूलहेतौ कर्मरवौ तापके दृष्टम् ॥२२७॥ इत्यार्षे रविषेणाचार्यप्रोक्त पद्मचरितेऽञ्जनासुन्दरीविवाहाभिधानं नाम पञ्चदशं पर्व ॥१५॥
द्वारा सदा दुःखी करूंगा। क्योंकि विवाहके बाद यह अन्य पुरुषसे भी सुख प्राप्त नहीं कर सकेगी ॥२१७|| पवनंजयने अपना यह विचार मित्रके लिए बतलाया और उसने भी उत्तर दिया कि ठीक है यही बात मैं कह रहा था जिसे तुमने अपनी बुद्धिसे स्वयं समझ लिया ।।२१८||
प्रियतमको लौटा सुनकर कन्याको बहुत हर्ष हुआ। उसके समस्त शरीरमें रोमांच निकल आये ॥२१९।। तदनन्तर समय पाकर बन्धुजनोंने दोनोंका विवाहरूप मंगल किया जिससे सबके मनोरथ पूर्ण हुए ॥२२०।। यद्यपि कन्याका हाथ अशोकपल्लवके समान शीत स्पर्शवाला था पर उस विरक्त चित्तके लिए वह अग्निकी मेखलाके समान अत्यन्त उष्ण जान पड़ा ।।२२१|| बिजलीको तुलना करनेवाले अंजनाके शरीरपर किसी तरह इच्छाके बिना हो पवनंजयकी दृष्टि गयी तो सही पर वह उसपर क्षण भरके लिए भी नहीं ठहर सकी ।।२२२।। यह पवनंजय इस कन्याके भावको नहीं समझ रहा है यह जानकर ही मानो चटकती हुई लाईके बहाने अग्नि शब्द करती हुई हँस रही थी ॥२२३।। इस तरह विधिपूर्वक दोनोंका विवाह कर शब्द करते हुए समस्त बन्धुजन परम हर्षको प्राप्त हुए ॥२२४।। नाना वृक्ष और लताओंसे व्याप्त तथा फल-फूलोंसे सुशोभित उस वनमें सब लोग बड़े वैभवसे महोत्सव करते रहे ॥२२५।। तदनन्तर परस्पर वार्तालाप और यथा योग्य सत्कार कर सब लोग यथा स्थान गये। जाते समय सब लोग वियोगके कारण क्षण भरके लिए दुःखी हो उठे थे ॥२२६||
गौतम स्वामी राजा श्रेणिकसे कहते हैं कि हे राजन् ! तत्त्वकी स्थितिको नहीं समझनेवाले प्राणी दूसरेके लिए जो दुःख अथवा सुख पहुंचाते हैं उसमें मूल कारण सन्ताप पहुँचानेवाला कर्म रूपी सूर्य ही है अर्थात् कर्मके अनुकूल या प्रतिकूल रहनेपर ही दूसरे लोग किसीको सुख या दुःख पहुंचा सकते हैं ॥२२७॥ इस प्रकार आर्ष मामसे प्रसिद्ध रविषणाचार्य कथित पद्मचरितमें अञ्जनासुन्दरीके
विवाहका कथन करनेवाला पन्द्रहवाँ पर्व समाप्त हुआ ॥१५॥

Her entire body trembled with excitement. ||219|| Then, when the time was right, the relatives performed the auspicious marriage ceremony of the two, fulfilling everyone's desires. ||220|| Although the girl's hand was as cool as the touch of an Ashoka leaf, it felt like a burning ember to the detached Pavananjay. ||221|| His gaze fell upon Anjana's body, who was like lightning, involuntarily, but he could not stay there even for a moment. ||222|| Knowing that Pavananjay did not understand the girl's feelings, Agni, as if in the guise of a crackling spark, laughed with a sound. ||223|| Then, with the proper rituals, the marriage of the two was performed, and all the relatives were filled with joy and made sounds of celebration. ||224|| In that forest, adorned with various trees and vines, and blooming with fruits and flowers, they celebrated with great splendor for a month. ||225|| After exchanging greetings and offering appropriate respects to each other, they all went their separate ways, feeling a moment of sadness due to separation. ||226||
The Aryachhandas says: Those who do not know the true nature of things, perform sacrifices for others, but they are ashamed. The root cause of this is the sun of karma, which brings suffering. ||227|| Thus ends the fifteenth chapter of the Padmapurana, known as the Anjanasundari Vivah, narrated by the sage Ravishena, as told by the Acharya. ||15||
