पद्मपुराणे रजःस्वेदरुजामुक्तं 'स्वामोदममलं मृदु । श्रिया परमया युक्तं चक्षुष्यमुपपादजम् ॥१५॥ शरीरं लभ्यते धर्मात् प्राणिमिः सुरसमसु । अलंकाराश्च भ्राचक्रतिरोहितदिगन्तराः ॥१३६॥ सरोरुहदलस्पर्शचरणाः कान्तिवनखाः । तुलाकोटिकसंदष्टरक्तांशुकदशाननाः ॥१३७॥ रम्मास्तम्भसमस्पर्शजङ्घान्तर्गतजानुकाः । काजीगुणाञ्चितोदारनितम्बा द्विरदक्रमाः ॥१३८॥ अनुदारवलीमङ्गतनुमध्यविराजिताः । नवोदितक्षपानाथप्रतिमस्तनमण्डलाः ॥१३९॥ रत्नावलीप्रभाजालनिर्मुक्तघनचन्द्रिकाः । मालतीमार्दवोपेततनुबाहुलताभृतः ॥१४०॥ महार्घमणिवाचालवलयाकुलपाणयः । अशोकपल्लवस्पर्शकराङ्गलिगलत्प्रमाः ॥१४१॥ कम्बुकण्ठा रदच्छायापिहितद्विजवाससः । लावण्यलितसर्वाशकपोलामलदर्पणाः ॥१४२॥ लोचनान्तधनच्छायाकृतकर्णावतंसकाः । मुक्तापरीतपद्मामिमणिसीमन्तभूषणाः ॥१४३॥ भ्रमरासितसूक्ष्मातिमृदुकेशकलापिकाः । मृणालकोमलस्पर्शवपुषो मधुरस्वराः ॥१४४॥ अत्यन्तमुपचारज्ञा नितान्तसुभगक्रियाः । नन्दनप्रमवामोदसमनिश्वाससौरभाः ॥१४५॥ इङ्गितज्ञानकुशलाः पञ्चेन्द्रियसुखावहाः । कामरूपधरा धर्मात्प्राप्यन्तेऽप्सरसो दिवि ॥१४६॥
देव-भवनोंमें ऐसा वैक्रियिक शरीर प्राप्त होता है जो कि सुखमय निद्राके दूर होनेपर जागृत हुएके समान जान पडता है. जिसकी इन्द्रियाँ अत्यन्त निर्मल होती हैं। जो तत्काल उदित समान देदीप्यमान होता है, जो कान्तिसे चन्द्रमाकी तुलना प्राप्त करता है, रज, पसीना तथा बीमारीसे रहित होता है. अत्यन्त सगन्धित. निर्मल और कोमल होता है. उत्कृष्ट लक्ष्मीसे युक्त, नयनाभिराम और उपपाद जन्मसे उत्पन्न होता है। इसके सिवाय अपनी कान्तिके समूहसे दिगन्तरालको आच्छादित करनेवाले आभूषण भी प्राप्त होते हैं ॥१३४-१३६।।
धर्मके प्रभावसे स्वर्गमें ऐसी अप्सराएँ प्राप्त होती हैं जिनके कि चरणोंका स्पर्शन कमलदलके समान कोमल होता है, जिनके नख अत्यन्त कान्तिमान होते हैं, जिनके लाल-लाल वस्रोंके अंचल नूपुरोंमें उलझते रहते हैं ॥१३७॥ जिनकी जंघाएँ केलेके स्तम्भके समान स्निग्ध स्पर्शसे युक्त होती हैं, जिनके घुटने मांस-पेशियों में अन्तनिहित रहते हैं, जिनके स्थूल नितम्ब मेखलाओंसे सुशोभित होते हैं, जिनकी चाल हाथोकी चालके समान मस्तीसे भरी रहती है ।।१३८॥ जो सूक्ष्म त्रिवलिसे युक्त मध्यभागसे सुशोभित होती हैं, जिनके स्तनोंके मण्डल नवीन उदित चन्द्रमाके समान होते हैं ॥१३९।। जिनको रत्नावलीकी कान्तिसे सदा चाँदनी छिटकती रहती है, जो मालतीके समान कोमल और पतली भुजारूपी लताओंको धारण करती हैं ॥१४०॥ जिनके हाथ महामूल्य मणियोंकी खनकती हुई चूड़ियोंसे सदा युक्त रहते हैं, अशोक पल्लवके समान कोमलता धारण करनेवाली जिनकी अंगुलियोंसे मानो कान्ति चूती रहती है ॥१४१॥ जिनके कण्ठ शंखके समान होते हैं, जिनके ओठ दाँतोंकी कान्तिसे आच्छादित रहते हैं, जिनके कपोलरूपी निर्मल दर्पणोंका समस्त भाग लावण्यसे संलिप्त रहता है ॥१४२॥ जिनके नयनान्तको सघन कान्ति सदा कर्णाभरणकी शोभा बढ़ाया करती है, मोतियोंसे व्याप्त पद्मराग मणि जिनकी माँगको अलंकृत करते रहते हैं ॥१४३॥ जिनके केशोंके समूह भ्रमरके समान काले, सूक्ष्म और अत्यन्त कोमल हैं, जिनके शरीरका स्पर्श मृणालके समान कोमल है, जिनकी आवाज अत्यन्त मधुर है ॥१४४॥ जो सब प्रकारका उपचार जानती हैं, जिनकी समस्त क्रियाएँ अत्यन्त मनोहर हैं, जिनके श्वासोच्छ्वासकी सुगन्धि नन्दनवनकी सुगन्धिके समान है ॥१४५॥ जो अभिप्रायके १. सामोद म. । २. नयनाभिरामम् । ३. उपपादजन्मजातम् । ४. दिगन्तरम् म.। ५. संदृष्ट ख.। ६. तुलाकोटिकगृहीतरक्तवस्त्रान्ताः । ७. गजगामिन्यः । ८. दन्तप्रभाच्छादिताधराः ।
