पद्मपुराणे शरीरक्षेमपृच्छादिसिद्विवृत्तान्तसंकथा । न तेषामवगीतत्वं प्राप्तारब्धा पुनः पुनः ॥३५६॥ ददृशुर्विस्मयापन्नाः स्वयंप्रभपुरोत्तमम् । देवलोकप्रतिच्छन्दं यातुधानप्लवङ्गमाः ॥३५७॥ सवेपथुकरेणैषां गात्रमस्पृशतां चिरम् । पितरौ सप्रणामानामानन्दाच्चाकुलेक्षणौ ॥३५॥ नमोमध्ये गते मानौ तेषां स्नानविधिस्ततः । दिव्याभिः कर्तुमारब्धो वनितामिमहोत्सवः ॥३५९॥ मुक्ताजालपरीतेषु स्नानपीठेषु ते स्थिताः । नानारत्नसमृद्धषु जात्याजाम्बूनदात्मसु ॥३६०॥ पादपीठेषु चरणौ निहितौ पल्लवच्छवी । उदयाद्विशिरोवर्तिदिवाकरसमाकृती॥३६॥ ततो रत्नविनिर्माणैः सौवणे राजतात्मकैः । कुम्भैः पल्लवसंछन्नवक्रेरिविराजितैः ॥३६२।। चन्द्रादित्यप्रतिस्पर्द्धि छायावच्छादितात्मभिः । आमोदवासिताशेषदिक्चक्रजल पूरितैः ॥३६३॥ एकानेकमुखैः प्रान्तभ्रान्तभ्रमरमण्डलैः । गर्जनिर्जलपातेन गंभीरजलदैरिव ॥३६४॥ गन्धैरुद्वर्तनैः कान्तिविधानकुशलैस्तथा । अभिषेकः कृतस्तेषां तूर्यनादादिनन्दितः ॥३६५।। अलंकृतस्ततो देहो दिव्यवस्त्रविभूषणैः । मङ्गलानि प्रयुक्तानि कुलनारीभिरादरात् ।।३६६॥ ततो देवकुमाराभैः स्वजनानन्ददायिभिः । गुरूणां विनयादेतैः कृतं चरणवन्दनम् ॥३६७।। अत्याशिषस्ततो दृष्ट्वा तेषां विद्योत्थसंपदः । जीवतातिविरं कालमिति तान् गुरवोऽब्रुवन् ॥३६८॥
आदिने आगे जाकर उन सबकी अगवानी की। उन्होंने गुरुजनोंको प्रणाम किया, मित्रोंका आलिंगन किया और भृत्योंकी ओर स्नेहपूर्ण दृष्टिसे देखा ॥३५५।। गुरुजनोंने भी दशानन आदिसे शरीरकी कुशल-क्षेम पूछी, विद्याएँ किस तरह सिद्ध हुईं आदि का वृत्तान्त भी बार-बार पूछा सो ऐसे अवसरपर किसी बातको बार-बार पूछना निन्दनीय नहीं है ॥३५६॥ राक्षस तथा वानरवंशियोंने देवलोकके समान उस स्वयंप्रभनगरको बड़े आश्चर्य के साथ देखा ॥३५७|| जिनके नेत्र आनन्दसे व्याप्त थे ऐसे माता-पिताने प्रणाम करते हुए दशानन आदिके शरीरका काँपते हुए हाथोंसे चिरकाल तक स्पर्श किया ॥३५८|| जब सूर्य आकाशके मध्यभागमें था तब दिव्य वनिताओंने बड़े उत्सवके साथ उन तीनों कुमारोंकी स्नानविधि प्रारम्भ की ॥ ३५९ ॥ जिनके चारों ओर मोतियोंके समूह व्याप्त थे तथा जो नाना प्रकारके रत्नोंसे समृद्ध थे ऐसे उत्कृष्ट स्वर्णनिर्मित स्नानकी चौकियोंपर वे आसीन हुए ॥३६०॥ पल्लवोंके समान लाल-लाल कान्तिके धारक दोनों पैर उन्होंने पादपीठपर रखे थे और उससे वे ऐसे जान पड़ते थे मानो उदयाचलके शिखरपर वर्तमान सूर्य ही हो ॥३६१।। तदनन्तर रत्नमयी, सुवर्णमयी और रजतमयी उन कलशोंसे उनका अभिषेक शुरू हुआ कि जिनके मुख पल्लवोंसे आच्छादित थे, जो हारोंसे सुशोभित थे, चन्द्रमा तथा सूर्यके साथ स्पर्धा करनेवाली कान्तिसे जिनका आत्म-स्वरूप आच्छादित था, जो अपनी सुगन्धिसे दिङ्मण्डलको सुवासित करनेवाले जलसे पूर्ण थे, जिनमें एक तो प्रधान मुख था तथा अन्य छोटेछोटे अनेक मुख थे, जिनके आस-पास भ्रमरोंके समूह मँडरा रहे थे और जो जलपातके कारण गम्भीर मेघके समान गरज रहे थे ॥३६२-३६४।। तदनन्तर शरीरकी कान्ति बढ़ाने में कुशल उबटना आदि लगाकर सुगन्धित जलसे उनका अभिषेक किया गया। उस समय तुरही आदि वादित्रोंके मंगलमय शब्दोंसे वहाँका वातावरण आनन्दमय हो रहा था ॥३६५।। तत्पश्चात् दिव्य वस्त्राभूषणोंसे उनके शरीर अलंकृत किये गये और कुलांगनाओंने बड़े आदरसे अनेक मंगलाचार किये ॥३६६।। तदनन्तर जो देवकुमारोंके समान जान पड़ते थे और आत्मीयजनोंको आनन्द प्रदान कर रहे थे ऐसे उन तीनों कुमारोंने बड़ी विनयसे गुरुजनोंको चरणवन्दना की ॥ ३६७ ॥ तदनन्तर गुरुजनोंने देखा कि इन्हें जो विद्याओंसे सम्पदाएं प्राप्त हुई हैं वे हमारे आशीर्वादसे
