पद्मचरितका सम्पादन निम्नांकित प्रतियोंके आधारपर किया गया है[१] 'क' प्रतिका परिचय
यह प्रति दिगम्बर जैन सरस्वती भण्डार धर्मपुरा, देहलीकी है। श्री पं. परमानन्दजी शास्त्रीके सत्प्रयत्नसे प्राप्त हुई है। इसमें १२४६ इंचकी साईजके २४६ पत्र है। प्रारम्भमें प्रतिपत्रमें १५-१६ पंक्तियाँ और प्रतिपंक्ति में ४० तक अक्षर है पर बादमें प्रतिपत्रमें २४ पंक्तियां और प्रतिपंक्तिमें ५७-५८ तक अक्षर हैं। अधिकांश श्लोकोंके अंक लाल स्याहीमें दिये गये हैं पर पीछेके हिस्से में सिर्फ काली स्याहो का ही उपयोग किया गया है। इस पुस्तककी लिपि पौषवदी ७ बुधवार संवत् १७७५ को भुसावर निवासी श्री मानसिंहके पुत्र सुखानन्दने पूर्ण की है। पुस्तकके लिपिकर्ता संस्कृत भाषाके ज्ञाता नहीं जान पड़ते हैं इसलिए बहुत कुछ अशुद्धियाँ लिपि करनेमें हुई हैं । इस पुस्तकके अन्तमें निम्न लेख पाया जाता है
___इति श्रीपद्मपुराणसंपूर्ण भवतः । लिख्यतं सुखानन्द मानसिंहसुतं वासी सुयान भुसावरके मोत्र वैनाड़ा लिपि लिखी सुंग्राने मधि संवत् सत्रैसै पचहत्तर मिति पौषवदी सप्तमी बुधवार शुभं कल्याणं ददातु । जाइसी पुस्तकं दृष्टा ताइसी लिखितं मया। जादि शुद्धमशुद्ध वा मम दोषो न दीयते ॥१॥ सज्जनस्य गुणं ग्राह्यं
गणार्णवम । अयं शद्धं कृतं तस्य मोक्षसौख्यप्रदायकम ॥२॥ जो कोई पढ़ सूनै त्याहनै म्हारी श्री जिनाय नमः । सज्जन ऐही बीनती साधर्मी सों प्यार । देव धर्म गुरु परखकें सेवो मन वच सार ॥ देव धरम गुरु जो लखें ते नर उत्तम जान । सरधा रुचि परतीति सौ सो जिय सम्यक् वान ॥ देव धरम सूं परखिये सो है सम्यकवान । दर्शन गुण ग्रह आदि ही ज्ञान अंग रुचि मान ।। चारित अधिकारी कहो मोक्ष रूप त्रय मान । सज्जन सो सज्जन कहै एहू सार तव जान । निश्चै अरु व्यवहार नय रत्नत्रय मन खान । अप्पा दंसन नानमय चारितगुन अप्पान । अप्पा अप्पा जोइये ज्यों पावै नियनि शुभमस्तु ।' इस प्रतिका सांकेतिक नाम

यह प्रति श्री दि. जैन सरस्वती भवन पंचायती मन्दिर मसजिद खजूर देहली की है। श्री पं. परमानन्दजी शास्त्रोके सौजन्यसे प्राप्त हुई है। इसमें ११४५ इंचकी साईजके ५१० पत्र हैं। प्रतिपत्रमें १४ पंक्तियाँ और प्रतिपंक्तिमें ४०-४१ तक अक्षर हैं। पुस्तकके अन्तमें प्रतिलिपि संवत् तथा लिपिकर्ताका कुछ भी उल्लेख नहीं है। इस प्रतिके बीच-बीच में कितने ही पत्र जीर्ण हो जाने के कारण अन्य लेखकके द्वारा फिरसे लिखाकर मिलाये गये हैं। प्राचीन लिपि प्रायः शुद्ध है पर जो नवीन पत्र मिलाये गये हैं उनमें अशुद्धियाँ अधिक रह गयी हैं। इस प्रतिके प्रारम्भमें १-२ श्लोकोंकी संस्कृत टीका भी दी गयी है। इस प्रतिका सांकेतिक नाम 'ख' है। [३] 'ज' प्रतिका परिचय

It contains 246 leaves of 1246 inches in size. Initially, there are 15-16 lines per leaf and 40 characters per line, but later there are 24 lines per leaf and 57-58 characters per line. This book was completed on the 7th Wednesday of Paushvadi Samvat 1775 by Sukhananda, son of Man Singh, resident of Bhusawar. This manuscript belongs to the Shri Digambar Jain Saraswati Bhavan Panchayati Mandir Masjid Khajur, Delhi. It was obtained through the courtesy of Shri Pandit Parmanandji Shastri. It contains 510 leaves of 1145 inches in size. There are 14 lines per leaf and 40-41 characters per line. There is no mention of the year of copying or the scribe at the end of the book. In the middle of this manuscript, several leaves have become worn out, due to which they have been re-written by another writer. The ancient script is mostly correct, but the newly added leaves have more errors. At the beginning of this manuscript, there is also a Sanskrit commentary on 1-2 verses.
