शित हुआ था। किन्तु अब प्रतियाँ अनुपलब्ध होने के कारण यह दूसरा संस्करण प्रकाशित हो रहा है। ज्ञानपीठ के संस्थापक श्री शान्तिप्रसादजी साहु तथा उसके संचालक श्री लक्ष्मीचन्द्रजी आदिका यह धर्मानुराग या साहित्यानुराग ही समझना चाहिए कि वे बड़ी तत्परता और निष्ठाके साथ जिनवाणीके प्रकाशन में संलग्न हैं । भारतीय ज्ञानपीठने अल्प समय में प्रकाशन स्तरकी रक्षा करते हुए जितना विपुल साहित्य प्रकाशित किया है उतना अन्य अनेक संस्थाएं मिलकर भी नहीं कर सकी हैं । ज्ञानपीठकी अध्यक्षा स्वर्गीय श्री रमाजी इस प्रकाशन संस्थाको जो प्रगति प्रदान कर गयीं वह चिरस्मरणीय रहेगी। न केवल जिनवाणी के प्रकाशन में उनका सहयोग रहा है अपितु पपौरा, अहार आदि प्राचीन तीर्थक्षेत्रोंके जीर्णोद्धार में भी उन्होंने हजारों रुपये समुचित व्यवस्था के साथ व्यय किये हैं। वे एकसे एक बड़कर अनेक जिनमन्दिरोंका निर्माण करानेकी क्षमता रखती थीं परन्तु नया निर्माण न कराकर उन्होंने पूर्वनिर्मित मन्दिरों का जीर्णोद्वार कराना हो उत्तम समझा
आशा करता हूँ कि यह द्वितीय संस्करण भी लोगोंकी श्रद्धाको वृद्धिंगत करता हुआ प्रथम संस्करणके समान समाप्त होगा। मेरी इच्छा थी कि इस संस्करणको भी आदिपुराण और उत्तरपुराणके द्वितीय संस्करणोंके समान परिशिष्टोंसे अलंकृत किया जाये परन्तु प्रकाशन की शीघ्रता और अपनी व्यस्तता के कारण परिशिष्ट तैयार नहीं कर सका इसका खेद है ।

I regret this.
