द्वादशः सर्गः
२११ निजाज्ञया च कथितं श्रीपालचरितं तथा । सान्तःपुरो जयः श्रुत्वा महान्तं विस्मयं श्रितः ॥२४॥ भवपञ्चकसंबन्धस्नेहसागरवर्तिनोः । स्मरणादेव संप्राप्ताः विद्याः प्राग्जन्मजास्तयोः ॥२५॥ ततो विद्याप्रभावेण विद्याधरयुवश्रियो । विजहतुर्जयन्तौ तौ लोकं खेचरगोचरम् ॥२६॥ जिनेन्द्रवन्दगापूर्व त्रिवर्गपरिपोषिणा । मन्दरस्य रतं तेन कन्दरासु समं तया ॥२७॥ कुलशैलनितम्बेषु सुविशाल नितम्बया । रेमे किन्नरगीतेषु रामया सोऽभिरामया ॥२८॥ कर्मभूमिभवेनापि क्रीडितं भोगभूमिषु । कलागुणविदग्धेन मिथुनेन यथेरिसतम् ॥२९॥ शक्रप्रशंसनादेत्य रतिप्रभसुरेण सः । परीक्ष्य स्वस्त्रिया मेरावन्यदा पूजितो जयः ॥३०॥ सर्वासामेव शुद्धीनां शीलशुद्धिः प्रशस्यते । शीलशुद्धिविशुद्धानां किङ्करास्त्रिदशा नृणाम् ॥३१॥ वर्षाणि बहुपत्नीकः सुबहूनि बहुप्रजाः । बुभुजे परमान् भोगान् विजयेन समं जयः ॥३२॥ सुतयाकम्पनस्यासावाक्रोड्यादिषु चान्यदा । वन्दनाथ जिनेद्रस्य वृषमस्य समागमत् ॥३३॥ प्रत्यासन्नममुञ्चन्तीं प्रोवाच दयितां च सः । प्रिये पश्य जिनाधीशं त्रैलोक्यपरिवारितम् ॥३४॥ प्रातिहार्ययुतोऽष्टाभिश्चतुस्त्रिशन्महाद्भुतैः । अयं माति विभुर्धाता त्रैलोक्यपरमेश्वरः ॥३५॥
अमी चतुर्विधा देवाः सौधर्मप्रमुखाः प्रिये । देव्योऽमीषामपि मूर्ना प्रणमन्ति जिनेश्वरम् ॥३६॥ भाव धारण किया । काल पाकर भीम मुनि तो मोक्ष चले गये और देवदम्पती स्वर्गसे च्युत होकर हम दोनों हुए हैं। इस प्रकार स्वर्गसे च्युत होने पर्यन्त देवदम्पतीका चरित जैसा देखा, सुना अथवा अनुभव किया था वैसा सुलोचनाने विस्तारके साथ वर्णन किया ।।२०-२३।। तदनन्तर जयकुमारकी आज्ञा पाकर सुलोचनाने श्रीपाल चक्रवर्तीका भी चरित कहा जिसे अन्तःपुरके साथसाथ सुनकर जयकुमार परम आश्चर्यको प्राप्त हुए ॥२४॥ जो पांच भवोंके सम्बन्धसे समुत्पन्न स्नेहरूपो सागरमें निमग्न थे ऐसे जयकुमार और सुलोचनाको स्मरण मात्रसे ही पूर्व भव सम्बन्धी विद्याएँ प्राप्त हो गयीं ।।२५।। तदनन्तर विद्याके प्रभावसे विद्याधर और विद्याधरियोंकी शोभाको जीतते हुए वे दोनों विद्याधरोंके लोकमें विहार करने लगे ।।२६।। धर्म, अर्थ और काम इस त्रिवर्गको पुष्ट करनेवाला जयकुमार कभी जिनेन्द्र भगवान्की वन्दना कर सुमेरुपर्वतकी गुफाओंमें सुलोचनाके साथ रमण करता था और कभी जहां किन्नर देव गाते थे ऐसे कुलाचलोंके नितम्बोंपर विशाल नितम्बोंसे सुशोभित सुन्दरी सुलोचनाके साथ क्रीड़ा करता था ॥२७-२८।। वह यद्यपि कर्मभूमिमें उत्पन्न हुआ था तथापि कला गुणमें विदग्ध आर्य दम्पतीके समान भोगभूमियोंमें इच्छानुसार क्रीड़ा करता था ॥२९॥
किसी समय इन्द्रके द्वारा की हई प्रशंसासे प्रेरित होकर रतिप्रभ नामक देवने अपनी स्त्रीके साथ सुमेरु पर्वतपर जयकमारके शीलको परीक्षा की और परीक्षा करनेके बाद उसकी पूजा की ॥३०॥ सो ठीक ही है क्योंकि सब प्रकारको शुद्धियोंमें शीलशुद्धि ही प्रशंसनीय है। जो मनुष्य शीलकी शुद्धिसे विशुद्ध हैं उनके देव भी किंकर हो जाते हैं ।।३१।। बहुत पत्नियों और बहुत पुत्रोंसे सुशोभित जयकुमार अपने छोटे भाई विजयके साथ उत्तमोत्तम भोग भोगता रहा ॥३२॥
तदनन्तर किसी दिन वह सुलोचनाके साथ पर्वतोंपर क्रोड़ा कर श्री वृषभ जिनेन्द्रकी वन्दनाके लिए समवसरण गया ॥३३॥ समवसरणके समीप पहुँचकर उसने पास में खड़ी सुलोचनासे कहा कि प्रिये ! तीन लोकके जीवोंसे घिरे हुए जिनेन्द्र देवको देखो ॥३४॥ ये त्रिलोकीनाथ आठ प्रातिहार्योसे सहित हैं तथा चौंतीस अतिशयोंसे सुशोभित हो रहे हैं ॥३५।। हे प्रिये ! ये सौधर्म आदि चारों निकायके देव और इनको देवियाँ मस्तक झुका-झुकाकर जिनेन्द्र देवको प्रणाम कर

29. Though born in the realm of karma, he, like a skilled couple, enjoyed the pleasures of the realm of enjoyment as he wished. ||29||

30. Once, inspired by Indra's praise, a deva named Rati Prabha, along with his wife, tested Jayakumar's virtue on Mount Sumeru and, after the test, worshipped him. ||30||

31. Indeed, among all forms of purity, purity of conduct is the most praiseworthy. Those who are pure in conduct are served even by the gods. ||31||

32. Jayakumar, adorned with many wives and sons, enjoyed the highest pleasures along with his younger brother Vijay. ||32||

33. One day, while playing on the mountains with Sulochana, he went to the Samavasarana to worship Sri Vrishabha Jina. ||33||

34. As they approached the Samavasarana, he said to Sulochana, "My dear, look at the Jina, surrounded by beings from the three realms." ||34||

35. "This Lord, the master of the three worlds, is adorned with eight Praatihaaryas and thirty-four Mahaadbhutaas." ||35||

36. "My dear, these are the four types of devas, starting with the Saudharma, and their consorts. They all bow their heads in reverence to the Jina." ||36||
