हरिवंशपुराणे ततः समं पुरं देव स्त्रिःपरीत्य पुरंदरः । प्रविश्य जिनमानेतुमादिदेश शची शुचिम् ॥१५१॥ लब्नादेशा जनन्याः सा प्रविश्य प्रसवालयम् । सुखनिद्रां विधायान्यं शिशुं च सुरमायया ॥१५२॥ प्रणम्य जिनमादाय चकार करयोहरेः । तद्पातिशयं पश्यन् सहस्राक्षो न तृप्तिमैत् ॥१५॥ आरोप्य जिनमात्माङ्कमैरावतगजे स्थितः । सोऽत्यभादुदितादित्यः शिखरात्मेव नैषधः ॥१५४॥ छत्रच्छायापटच्छन्नं चामरोल्करवीजितम् । जिनं निनाय देवौधः सुमेरुशिखरं हरिः ॥१५५॥ सप्रदक्षिणमागत्य पाण्डुकाख्यशिलातले । सिंहासने जिनं शकश्चक्रे चक्रेण नाकिनाम् ॥१५६॥ क्षमिताम्भोधिगम्भीरा भेरीपटहमर्दलाः । ताडिताः समृदङ्गायाः सुरैः शङ्खाश्च पूरिताः ॥१५७॥ जगुः किन्नरगन्धर्वाः स्त्रीमिस्तुम्बुरुनारदाः । सविश्वावसवो विश्वे चित्र श्रोत्रमनोहरम् ॥१५॥ ततं च विततं चैव धनं सुषिरमप्यलम् । मनोहारि तदा देवैर्वाद्यते स्म चतुर्विधम् ॥१५९॥ हावमावाभिरामं च नृत्यमप्सरसामभूत् । अङ्गहारकृतासंगं शृङ्गारादिरसाद्भुतम् ॥१६०॥ इत्थं तत्र महानन्दे देवसंघः प्रवर्तिते । पूरित प्रतिशब्दैश्च मन्दरे रुन्द्रकन्दरे ॥१६१॥ धृताऽऽकल्पेऽभिषेकार्थ सौधर्मेन्द्रे ससंभ्रमे । साष्टमङ्गलहस्तासु प्रशस्तामरभीरुषु ॥१६२॥ संघटैः सुरसंघातैर्महावेगैर्महाधनैः । सर्वदिक्षु गतैः क्षिप्रं क्षोभितः क्षीरसागरः ॥१६३॥
तदनन्तर देवोंके साथ-साथ उस नगरकी तीन प्रदक्षिणाएँ देकर सौधर्मेन्द्रने भीतर प्रवेश किया और पवित्र जिनेन्द्रको लाने के लिए इन्द्राणीको आज्ञा दी ॥१५१॥ इन्द्रकी आज्ञा पाते ही इन्द्राणीने माताके प्रसूतिगृहमें प्रवेश किया और देवकृत मायासे माताको सुखनिद्रामें निमग्न कर उसके पास मायामयी दूसरा बालक लिटा दिया ॥१५२॥ तत्पश्चात् प्रणाम करनेके बाद जिनबालकको लेकर उसने इन्द्र के हाथोंमें सौंपा। इन्द्रने हजार नेत्र बनाकर उनका अतिशय सुन्दर रूप देखा फिर भी वह तृप्तिको प्राप्त नहीं हुआ ॥१५३|| जिन-बालकको अपनी गोदमें रखकर ऐरावत हाथीपर बैठा हुआ सौधर्मेन्द्र उस समय ऐसा सुशोभित हो रहा था मानो सूर्योदयसे सहित निषधाचलका शिखर ही हो ॥१५४॥ जो छत्रको छायारूपी वस्त्रसे आच्छादित थे तथा जिनकी दोनों ओर चामरोंके समूह ढोले जा रहे थे, ऐसे जिन बालकको सौधर्मेन्द्र देव-समूहके साथ सुमेरुके शिखरपर ले गया ॥१५५।। इन्द्रने पहले आकर देव-समूहके साथ मेरु पर्वतकी प्रदक्षिणा दी फिर पाण्डुक शिलापर स्थित सिंहासनपर जिन-बालकको विराजमान किया ॥१५६|| उस समय देवोंने क्षोभको प्राप्त हुए समुद्रके समान गम्भीर शब्दवाले भेरी, पटह, मदल तथा मृदंग आदि बाजे बजाये और शंख फूंके ॥१५७॥ किन्नर, गन्धर्व, तुम्बुरु, नारद तथा विश्वावसु जातिके समस्त देव अपनी-अपनी स्त्रियोंके साथ कानों एवं हदयको हरनेवाले भांति-भांतिके गान गाने लगे ॥१५८॥ उस समय देव तत*, वितत, धन और सुषिर नामके चारों मनोहारी बाजे बजा रहे थे ॥१५९।। हाव-भावसे सुन्दर, अंगहारोंसे युक्त तथा शृंगारादि रसोंसे आश्चर्य उत्पन्न करनेवाला अप्सराओंका नृत्य हो रहा था ॥१६०॥ इस प्रकार जब वहाँ देव-समूहके द्वारा महान् आनन्द मनाया जा रहा था, लम्बी-चौड़ी गुफाओंसे युक्त मेरु पर्वत उनकी प्रतिध्वनिसे गूंज रहा था, हर्षसे भरा सौधर्मेन्द्र अभिषेकके लिए योग्य वेष धारण कर रहा था, और उत्तम देवांगनाएं अपने १. प्राप। २. ततं वीणादिकं वाद्यमानद्धं मुरजादिकम् ।
