प्रस्तुत देवागम-भाष्य उसी क्रममें सन्निविष्ट है। स्वयम्भूस्तोत्र, युक्त्यनुशासन आदिकी तरह इसके भो प्रत्येक पद-वाक्यादिका उन्होंने अच्छा अर्थ-स्फोट किया है और ग्रन्थकारके हार्दको प्रस्तुत करने में सफल हुए हैं। इस महत्त्वपूर्ण रचनाको उपस्थित करनेके लिए वे समाजके विशेषतया विद्वानोंके धन्यवादाह हैं । ___इसकी प्रस्तावना लिखनेका वायदा हमने किया था। परन्तु हमें अत्यन्त खेद है कि हम उसे शीघ्र न लिख सके और जिसके कारण डेढ़ वर्ष जितना विलम्ब इसके प्रकाशनमें हो गया। इसके लिए हम पाठकोंसे क्षमा-प्रार्थी हैं । मुख्तार साहबका धैर्य और स्नेह ही प्रस्तावनाके लिखाने में निमित्त हुए, अतः हम उनके भी कृतज्ञ हैं ।
यहाँ इतना और हम प्रकट कर देना चाहते हैं कि यह ग्रन्थ कुछ कारणोंसे दो प्रेसोंमें छपाना पड़ा। मूल ग्रन्थ (पृ० १-११२ ) तो मनोहर प्रेसमें छपा और शेष सब महावीर प्रेसमें । महावीर प्रेसकी तत्परताके लिए हम उसे धन्यवाद देना नहीं भूल सकते ।
आशा है पाठक इस महत्त्वपूर्ण कृतिको प्राप्तकर प्रसन्न होंगे और विलम्बजन्य कष्टको भूल जावेंगे । ११ अप्रैल १९६७,
