The commentary is about Thashabhadra. This aspect is clarified through the words of the disciple of Yashobhadrasuri. In the Shvetambara tradition, there have been several acharyas and authors named Yashobhadra. Among them, the presented Yashobhadra's identity is unknown. There is no conclusive evidence to prove that the author of this incomplete commentary is a disciple of Haribhadra. On the contrary, it can be said that the present Thashabhadra, who was a disciple of Haribhadra, is different from Yashabhadra, who completed the commentary and wrote that the incomplete commentary of Haribhadra was completed by his guru, Yashobhadra. It is unlikely that he would have left his guru's name without attaching numerous descriptors like "Haribhadra's disciple." Regardless of that; however, it remains a point of contemplation when Yashobhadra lived, and whether he had other works or not. Furthermore, why was Yashabhatt unable to compose commentary on the final single verse? And why did he have to rely on his disciple to do so?
