The Vārthasūtra now remains to investigate the verses of the fourth division. In the Svetambara version, the verse Sat Kacca Dakhṣaṇam 5 (29) is missing. However, in the Digambara version, it appears before the verse Vāḍha-Chaya-Dhrauya-Purasanta [29 (30) 3]. Here, the question is in what context is this statement about "Lat"? It has been explained in the context of the soul, specifically in verses 23–76. Among these, verses 25–28 and 32–36 describe the Anu-Rkandha as follows: Anu-Kadha 25–28 discusses:
25 Anu-Skandha as the form of the substance
26-27 The origin of Anurakalpa
28 The reason for Skandha to be called Chaksuṣa
32-36 The process of Pudgalik Bandha. Sat-Nityatva 29 the definition in a non-figurative manner.
30 The definition of Nityatva.
31 The coherence of verses 29-30 regarding Dravya 37–44 Guna–Paryaya–Parināma, Kala.
Regarding the arrangement of these verses, we wonder why verse 54 is placed with 29-31 Anu Skandha? It is more appropriate that its explanation is given with Dravya. To resolve the current issue, it is necessary to clarify whether verse 5 (29) was added later.
In the commentary of verse 50 28, there is a mention of Parinī Santītī Jāt Ti/Patrāḥ/Kṣataḥ; there is no clear mention that Dravya is endowed with Sat-lakṣaṇa, which is stated in verse 5.
