Chapter 10
In the previous chapter, the description of Samvara and Nirjara has been made, and consequently, this chapter primarily discusses the remaining aspect of liberation.
Now the purposes of the emergence of Kaivalya are stated: "By the destruction of moha, knowledge veil, perception veil, and obstruction karma, liberation arises!"
Kaivalya manifests from the destruction of moha and the veils of knowledge and perception, as well as the obstacles.
In Jain scriptures, the emergence of Kaivalya usage (omniscience, all-seeing) before the attainment of moksha is considered unavoidable; thus, while describing the nature of moksha, the causes for the emergence of Kaivalya usage are initially articulated here. The natural consciousness appears due to the destruction of the obstructive karmas. There are four types of obstructive karmas, among which the first one, moha, diminishes.
