તત્વાર્થસૂત્ર परे केवलिनः । ४०। पृथक्त्वैकत्ववितर्कसूक्ष्म क्रियाप्रतिपातिव्युपरतक्रियानिवृत्तीनि ।४१। तत् ग्येककाययोगायोगानाम् । ४२ । एकाश्रये सवितर्के पूर्व ।४३ । 'अविचारं द्वितीयम् । ४४। वितर्कः श्रुतम् । ४५ ॥ विचारोऽर्थव्यजनयोगसंक्रन्तिः । ४६ ।
ઉપશાંત અને ક્ષીણમેહમાં પહેલાં બે શુકલધ્યાન સંભવે છે; બંને પહેલાં શુકલધ્યાન પૂર્વધરને હોય છે.
પછીનાં બે કેવલીને હોય છે.
પૃથકત્વવિતર્ક, એકવિતર્ક, સૂક્ષ્મક્રિયાપ્રતિપાતી અને વ્યુપરતક્રિયાનિવૃત્તિ એ ચાર શુકલધ્યાન છે. - તે શુકલધ્યાન અનુક્રમે ત્રણ ગવાળા, કે પણ એક વેગવાળા, કાયયેગવાળા અને વેગ વિનાને હોય છે.
પહેલા બે, એક આશ્રયવાળા તેમજ સવિતર્ક છે. એમાંથી બીજી અવિચાર છે, અર્થાત પહેલું સવિચાર છે. .
વિતર્ક એટલે શ્રત.
