Gradually, laughter begins to occur. Alongside this, they also started composing scriptures related to the opinions of their forefathers. This divergence in conduct eventually led to a disagreement within the ancient inseparable text, which had initially been understood but later transformed into considerations of textual differences and insertions. Accordingly, this conceptual divergence regarding conduct created a rift even in the common beliefs related to the inseparable textual subject between the two factions, causing one faction to believe that the essential core, which was largely lost, was no longer accessible, and that what remained was neither free from fabrication nor new insertions. However, this faction did not entirely abandon the essential textual teaching. Instead, it also began to specifically develop its own scriptures and continued to promote its side through them. The other faction observed that the first faction accused it of inserting fabricated ideas into the essential text, yet it also did not entirely abandon it and provided no support for its preservation. Seeing this, the second faction organized a conference in Mathura, where they discussed the essential core along with the accepted external scriptures, and established decisions on reading, classification, and summarization—almost all the prominent members participating in that faction accepted these. Although this new compilation of the inner and outer texts had distinct lines of separation between the inner and outer, it still included an integration of the outer within the inner.
