Chapter 8 - Sutra 1-14
333 Without stopping the destinies of fruition, only the universal destruction is recorded; that "which covers the renunciation" of anger, pride, illusion, and greed, whose intensity of fruition is not sufficient to prohibit universal renunciation, but rather to disturb and meddle in it, is termed "stimulation" of anger, pride, illusion, and greed.
The nine non-destroyable karmas manifest happiness, wherein the harm-producing karma brings about joy and sometimes displeasure, respectively termed "desire-deluding" and "non-desire-deluding." The "fear-deluding" karma generates fear, the "skill-deluding" karma brings about skill, and the "repugnance-deluding" karma induces disgust. The distortion of femininity is revealed by the "feminine-ness," the distortion of masculinity is revealed by the "masculine-ness," and the distortion of non-masculinity is revealed by the karma termed "non-masculine-ness." Since these nine are the companions and stimulants of the main passions, they are called the many passions.
The four types of life spans according to Mayuṣa Śarma: whose rise results in the life of gods, humans, animals, and hell beings, respectively termed as godly, human, animal, and hellish life spans.
The twenty-five natures of name karma are as follows:
1. The karma that enables the enjoyment of happiness and suffering, producing the four destinies of life, is termed "destinational name."
2. The karma that results in similar experiences from single divinity to five-fold affection is termed "species name."
3. The karma that allows the attainment of noble, etc., bodies is termed "body name."
4. The karma relevant to the bodily condition and its associates is termed "naming karma."
