આધારક્ષેત્ર એ ભાગથી બમણું પણ માનવામાં આવે છે. આ રીતે એ જીવનું અથવા જીવાન્તરનુ આધારક્ષેત્ર ત્રણગણુ, ચારગણું, પાંચગણુ આદિ ક્રમથી વધતાં વધતાં કયારેક અસખ્યાતગણું અર્થાત્ સ લેાકાકાશ થઈ શકે છે. એક જીવનુ આધારક્ષેત્ર સલાકાકાશ ત્યારે જ થઈ શકે છે જ્યારે તે જીવ કેલિસમુદ્ધાતની દશામાં હોય છે. જીવના પરિમાણની ન્યૂનાધિકતાને લીધે એના આધારક્ષેત્રના પરિમાણની જે ન્યૂનાધિકતા ઉપર કહી છે, તે એક વની અપેક્ષાએ સમજવી જોઈ એ; સજીવરાશિની અપેક્ષાએ તે જીવતત્ત્વનું આધારક્ષેત્ર સંપૂર્ણ લાકાકાશ જ છે.
હવે પ્રશ્ન એ થાય છે કે, તુલ્ય પ્રદેશવાળા એક જીવ દ્રવ્યના પરિમાણમાં કાળભેદથી જે ન્યૂનાધિકતા દેખાઈ આવે છે. અથવા ભિન્નભિન્ન જીવેાના પરિમાણમાં એક જ સમયમાં જે ન્યૂનાધિકતા દેખાય છે, એનુ કારણ શું છે ? એને ઉત્તર અહીંયાં એ આપ્યા છે કે, ક, જે અનાદિ કાળથી જીવની સાથે લાગેલાં છે અને જે અનંતાન ંત અણુપ્રચયરૂપ હેાય છે, એમના સંબંધથી એક જ જીવના પરિમાણમાં અથવા વિવિધ જીવાના પરિમાણમાં વિવિધતા આવે છે.કર્મા સદા એકસરખાં રહેતાં નથી, એમના સંબંધથી ઔદારિક આદિ જે અન્ય શરીર પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે, તે પણ કર્મ અનુસારે નાનાંમેટાં હાય છે. છવદ્રવ્ય વસ્તુત: હાય છે તે। અમૂ, પરંતુ તે કસબંધને લીધે મૂવત્ બની જાય છે. એથી જ્યારે જ્યારે જેટલું જેટલુ* ઔદારિકાદિ શરીર એને પ્રાપ્ત થાય છે, ત્યારે ત્યારે એનું પરિમાણ તેટલું જ હોય છે,

The support field is considered to be double by nature. Thus, the support field of a soul or living being can increase in a sequence of threefold, fourfold, fivefold, and so on, eventually becoming innumerable, that is, a spatial infinity.
