અધ્યાય ૪-સૂત્ર ૪૪-૪૭ दशवर्षसहस्राणि प्रथमायाम् । ४४ ।
બીજી આદિ ભૂમિમાં નારકેની જઘન્ય સ્થિતિ પૂર્વ પૂર્વની ઉત્કૃષ્ટ સ્થિતિ છે.
પહેલી ભૂમિમાં જઘન્ય સ્થિતિ દશ હજાર વર્ષની છે.
જેમ બેંતાળીસમા સૂત્રમાં દેવેની જધન્ય સ્થિતિને ક્રમ છે, તે જ બીજીથી લઈ સાતમી ભૂમિ સુધીના નારકેની જઘન્ય સ્થિતિને ક્રમ છે. એ નિયમ પ્રમાણે પહેલી ભૂમિને એક સાગરોપમ પ્રમાણ ઉત્કૃષ્ટ સ્થિતિ એ બીજીમાં જઘન્ય સ્થિતિ છે, બીજીની ત્રણ ત્રણ સાગરોપમ પ્રમાણ ઉત્કટ સ્થિતિ ત્રીજમાં જઘન્ય, ત્રીજીની સાત સાગરેપમ ઉત્કૃષ્ટ સ્થિતિ ચેથીમાં જધન્ય; ચોથીની દશ સાગરોપમ ઉત્કૃષ્ટ સ્થિતિ પાંચમીમાં જઘન્ય, પાંચમીની સત્તર સાગરેપમ ઉત્કૃષ્ટ સ્થિતિ છઠ્ઠીમાં જઘન્ય, અને છઠ્ઠીની બાવીશ સાગરોપમ ઉત્કકૃષ્ટ સ્થિતિ સાતમીમાં જઘન્ય છે. પહેલી ભૂમિમાં જધન્ય સ્થિતિ દશ હજાર વર્ષ પ્રમાણ છે.
