Tattvarthasutra Brahmalaek is the dwelling place of the Kaatik deities.
Sarasvat, Aaditya, Vahni, Arun, Garday, Tushit, Avyabhaad, Marut, and Arisht are the Kaatik deities.
Since the Lokantika deities are free from sensual pleasures, they are called Devarshi. They are independent and not considered superior or inferior to one another. During the Tirthankara's renunciation or the abandonment of the house, they stand before him and adhere to the teachings of their father, conveyed through the term "Vuh Guru." They reside in all directions surrounding the fifth heaven named Brahmalaek and do not live anywhere else. From there, they obtain human birth and achieve liberation.
Due to one type residing in each direction, there are a total of nine varieties. For instance, in the northeastern or Ishaan corner, there is Sarasvat, in the east Aaditya, in the southeastern or Agni corner Vahni, in the south Arun, in the southwest or Nairitya corner Garday, in the west Tushit, in the northwest or Vayavya corner Avyabhaad, in the north Mafat, and in the center Arisht, who are the Lokantika deities. The names Sarasvat and Aaditya are known from the names of the aircraft in the Digambara sect, and since the last part of this sutra is related to the term "Vadharishta," it is clearly Arisht that is referred to here, not Rishta; likewise, there is no mention of Marut.
