The Tattvarthasutra increasingly diminishes. Just as Sanakumara and others, whose low status is comparable to two oceans, have the ability to descend to the seventh hell in the downward direction and countless thousands in the lateral direction, so too, the subsequent deities experience a decrease in movement, ultimately leading to the point where higher deities can only descend to a maximum of the third hell. Regardless of their power, no deity has gone beyond the third hell in the lower realm, nor will they.
2. The size of the body: In the first and second heavens, it is seven hands; in the third and fourth heavens, it is six hands; in the fifth and sixth heavens, it is five hands; in the seventh and eighth heavens, it is four hands; from the ninth to the twelfth heavens, it is three hands; in the nine Raivayakas, it is two hands; and in the Anuttaravimana, it is one hand.
3. The number of palaces: In the first heaven, there are thirty-three million palaces; in the second, twenty-eight million; in the third, twelve million; in the fourth, eight million; in the fifth, four million; in the sixth, fifty thousand; in the seventh, forty thousand; in the eighth, six thousand; from the ninth to the twelfth, seven hundred; in the three lower Raivayakas, one hundred; in the eleven, three middle Saivayakas, one hundred; in the three upper Raivayakas, one hundred; and in the Anuttara, only five palaces are associated.
